بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Whatever program we initiate in our life, will be as per the Pre-directed Guidelines of Allah, the Most Benevolent and the Most Merciful. (6:162)
ٱقۡرَأۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ١
96:1. O, Social reformist! One of the unique attributes of Rabbu who created all the universes is to pronounce the merits of the system of governance to the people. Tell the people that the same Rabbu who created them has arranged for the care of all.
The word "Rubbu" refers to one of the unique attributes of Allah. It refers to a system of nourishment of His every creation from its inception to its ultimate goal.
خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِنۡ عَلَقٍ٢
96:2. Under this plan of Rabbu, the man was created from a “blood clot” called “Alaq” at the beginning stage of evolution.
Only the human condition is unique among the creations in the universe. On one hand, he has to live a federal life, while on the other hand, he lives a life without Our guidance, where he develops selfishness and indulges in the pursuit of a better life for him alone. Thus, he becomes a sucker of the blood of others. There is only one way to avoid this trend.
ٱقۡرَأۡ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلۡأَكۡرَمُ٣
96:3. Explain to the people about the ethics of life bestowed by the dignified Rabbu.
Generous living arrangements have been made by Rabbu for the betterment of all living beings (creatures) in the world. Therefore, he must unite the entire human race under a common minimum program of “all are equal” and come forward to establish a better government, and only then can this tug-of-war be resolved. This is the way of life that Rabbu has laid down.
Man is given writing scripts to accomplish this goal and to convey his thoughts to others. Thus despite the racial and cultural differences between them,
ٱلَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِٱلۡقَلَمِ٤
96:4. He is able to fulfill his needs through correspondence (Tele Communication) from all parts of the world. And the intimacy within man is as if the whole world is a joint family. Guidance truths also spread throughout the world through writing.
عَلَّمَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مَا لَمۡ يَعۡلَمۡ٥
96:5. However, through the guidance of Rabbu, special wisdom which is beyond the reach of his senses is bestowed by Us.
كَلَّآ إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لَيَطۡغَىٰٓ٦
96:6. But man intends to form a social system based on "self-preservation."
أَن رَّءَاهُ ٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰٓ٧
96:7. So he considers all Our guidance to be unnecessary.
So, everyone in society is left with the idea of amassing wealth for himself. He develops the tendency that there is no need to care about others. He thus acts against the Regime established for the betterment of mankind as a whole.
إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلرُّجۡعَىٰٓ٨
96:8. But no matter how much he acts against the guidance of Rabbu, one day or the other, he must come to the side of this Quranic rule. He has no choice but to accept this to solve his problems.
أَرَءَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِي يَنۡهَىٰ٩
96:9. Have you noticed the situation of one who refuses to accept Our guidance?
عَبۡدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰٓ١٠
96:10. He deviates from Our guidance and interrupts others so that they do not accept it.
أَرَءَيۡتَ إِن كَانَ عَلَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰٓ١١
96:11. Think for yourself! One strives to build a better society by following the straight path and preaching to the people to get the benefit to them.
أَوۡ أَمَرَ بِٱلتَّقۡوَىٰٓ١٢
96:12. Who has the right to ban preaching the right path?
أَرَءَيۡتَ إِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ١٣
96:13. And those who make such restrictions say to the people, “A regime that protects the interests of the people on all sides is a false fantasy.”
How can it be fair to spread false rumors that this will never happen and to interfere with the development of human resources by claiming that a "life for the benefit of the individual" is the best way to live?
أَلَمۡ يَعۡلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَرَىٰ١٤
96:14. Does he not notice the law of the "consequences of human deeds" that Rabbu has laid down to supervise his every action?
كَلَّا لَئِن لَّمۡ يَنتَهِ لَنَسۡفَعَۢا بِٱلنَّاصِيَةِ١٥
96:15. He cannot continue to block like this permanently. Does he think that there is no one to question us? Nothing like this. If he does not give up this attitude, no matter how great an incumbent he is! We will grab his head and drag him to jail.
نَاصِيَةٖ كَٰذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٖ١٦
96:16. Such liars - those who act against the rule of Rabbu - those who deviate from the ordinance ordained by Rabbu - such criminals think themselves to be high.
فَلۡيَدۡعُ نَادِيَهُۥ١٧
96:17. If such people have the courage, let them invite their leaders to meet them on the battlefield.
سَنَدۡعُ ٱلزَّبَانِيَةَ١٨
96:18. Veterans of social welfare activists will be invited to fight against these culprits to uphold Dharma.
كَلَّا لَا تُطِعۡهُ وَٱسۡجُدۡۤ وَٱقۡتَرِب۩١٩
96:19. O social reformer! You need not listen to them. Act diligently to get the full implementation of the Our ethics. Thus your every effort will soon reach the goal set by Rabbu.
