بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Whatever program we initiate in our life, will be as per the Pre-Directed Guidelines of Allah, the Most Benevolent and the Most Merciful. (6:162)
ٱقۡتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلۡقَمَرُ١
54:1. The time for the eruption of revolution is not far off. Then the imperialist regime with the moon as its national symbol will split.
The city of Makkah was ruled by the Quraishees. The symbol of its national flag was the moon. We have given this meaning to this text. The reason is that the earth's gravity on the organism living on earth is controlled by the moon. If the distance between the earth and the moon is slightly postponed or reduced, the creature will not be able to survive here. When this is true, the splitting of the moon is contrary to the laws of nature created by Allah. So we have given the impression that the moon, which was the symbol of the Quraishian rule, will split in two.
وَإِن يَرَوۡاْ ءَايَةٗ يُعۡرِضُواْ وَيَقُولُواْ سِحۡرٞ مُّسۡتَمِرّٞ٢
54:2. There are many signs of the revolution that is about to take place. But instead of paying attention to them, they think it is impossible for this to happen and say it is just fiction.
وَكَذَّبُواْ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْ أَهۡوَآءَهُمۡۚ وَكُلُّ أَمۡرٖ مُّسۡتَقِرّٞ٣
54:3. They are not ready to believe in the revolution that is going to happen like this. They blindly follow the desires of their mind. But they did not know that the revolution would take place at a fixed time.
وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَنۢبَآءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزۡدَجَرٌ٤
54:4. The reason is that such caution messages have come to them before.
That is, those precautions can only be made with historical evidence. How can that precaution be given after the destruction occurred?
حِكۡمَةُۢ بَٰلِغَةٞۖ فَمَا تُغۡنِ ٱلنُّذُرُ٥
54:5. Yet they are warned on the basis of clear wisdom. But they did not benefit them because they did not care about them.
فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡۘ يَوۡمَ يَدۡعُ ٱلدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَيۡءٖ نُّكُرٍ٦
54:6. So warn them substantially and if they do not agree, leave them on their course. They will be judged on the basis of the “consequences of human actions.” Then let’s go along with those who will hatefully take them to the shameful place.
خُشَّعًا أَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ يَخۡرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَجۡدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمۡ جَرَادٞ مُّنتَشِرٞ٧
54:7. Then, just as the locusts spread out of their burrows, they will shamefully flee out of their habitat.
مُّهۡطِعِينَ إِلَى ٱلدَّاعِۖ يَقُولُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا يَوۡمٌ عَسِرٞ٨
54:8. Accepting the call of the caller, they will come running quickly. Then, those who reject, will come lamenting that it is time for us to live worst.
۞كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٖ فَكَذَّبُواْ عَبۡدَنَا وَقَالُواْ مَجۡنُونٞ وَٱزۡدُجِرَ٩
54:9. Before this, the people of Nooh's community also lied about his warning. They disobeyed his advice, called him insane, and chased him away.
فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّي مَغۡلُوبٞ فَٱنتَصِرۡ١٠
54:10. Finally, he prayed to Allah, “I have no chance of success because I cannot guide my community. So please help me! ”
فَفَتَحۡنَآ أَبۡوَٰبَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَآءٖ مُّنۡهَمِرٖ١١
54:11. So it continued to rain there as if the gates of the sky were opened by the
command of Allah.
وَفَجَّرۡنَا ٱلۡأَرۡضَ عُيُونٗا فَٱلۡتَقَى ٱلۡمَآءُ عَلَىٰٓ أَمۡرٖ قَدۡ قُدِرَ١٢
54:12. Moreover, springs gushed forth from the earth. The two mingled immeasurably and they formed a deluge.
وَحَمَلۡنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلۡوَٰحٖ وَدُسُرٖ١٣
54:13. Then Allah advised Nooh to get into the boat which was made of planks and nails. Likewise, he and his followers escaped.
تَجۡرِي بِأَعۡيُنِنَا جَزَآءٗ لِّمَن كَانَ كُفِرَ١٤
54:14. Those who refused to obey his instructions were drowned in the flood. But as per the law of Allah, the ship floated on the water. Those who climbed on it escaped.
وَلَقَد تَّرَكۡنَٰهَآ ءَايَةٗ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ١٥
54:15. The destruction thus inflicted on them was a lesson to the people of later times. Are there any benefactors through this?
That is, the revelation message cautions the impending danger. Those who take care of it and take defensive measures can protect themselves from that catastrophe. This is the lesson of Reformist Nooh's history.
فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ١٦
54:16. So do they not pay attention to the sufferings that would cause as per Our rules and the precaution given before it?
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ١٧
54:17. And We have made this Quran easy for all people to receive advice and to live better. Are there people who are prepared to get good advice from this?
كَذَّبَتۡ عَادٞ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ١٨
54:18. In the same way, the “Aadhu” community refuted the advice given by the reformist. Don't they think of the torment that will befall them according to the canon of Allah?
إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ رِيحٗا صَرۡصَرٗا فِي يَوۡمِ نَحۡسٖ مُّسۡتَمِرّٖ١٩
54:19. According to their precautionary messages, the time of distress in the area was near. (See 41:16) There was a great hurricane blowing. It lasted seven nights and eight days (see 69: 7).
تَنزِعُ ٱلنَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمۡ أَعۡجَازُ نَخۡلٖ مُّنقَعِرٖ٢٠
54:20. So they all fell head over heels like fallen trees. And the area itself has disappeared.
فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ٢١
54:21. So did they not pay attention to the sufferings that would cause as per Our rules and the precaution given in advance?
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ٢٢
54:22. Thus, We have made this Quran easy for all people to receive advice and live better. Are there people who are prepared to get good advice from this?
كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ بِٱلنُّذُرِ٢٣
54:23. Likewise, the people of Samoodh disregarded His counsel, despite the warning given to them.
فَقَالُوٓاْ أَبَشَرٗا مِّنَّا وَٰحِدٗا نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذٗا لَّفِي ضَلَٰلٖ وَسُعُرٍ٢٤
54:24. They said, “How can we follow someone who lived among us? If we follow him, we will lose what we have and go astray like lunatics.”
أَءُلۡقِيَ ٱلذِّكۡرُ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۢ بَيۡنِنَا بَلۡ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٞ٢٥
54:25. They said, “Should this advice not be given to someone who lived among us? No. He looks like an arrogant liar.”
سَيَعۡلَمُونَ غَدٗا مَّنِ ٱلۡكَذَّابُ ٱلۡأَشِرُ٢٦
54:26. It was announced to them, “You will soon know the truth about who the great liars are.”
إِنَّا مُرۡسِلُواْ ٱلنَّاقَةِ فِتۡنَةٗ لَّهُمۡ فَٱرۡتَقِبۡهُمۡ وَٱصۡطَبِرۡ٢٧
54:27. We made a covenant with the Reformist Salih focusing on a female camel to find out to what extent the people of that community are under Our guidance. (See 11:64) We also told them to keep an eye on them.
وَنَبِّئۡهُمۡ أَنَّ ٱلۡمَآءَ قِسۡمَةُۢ بَيۡنَهُمۡۖ كُلُّ شِرۡبٖ مُّحۡتَضَرٞ٢٨
54:28. Since there was a shortage of water in that region, according to the agreement, everyone had to come in order and share the water. That camel will be in that line too. We said, “If you keep this up, it would mean that you are maintaining the law and order.”
فَنَادَوۡاْ صَاحِبَهُمۡ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ٢٩
54:29. But the leaders wanted to break the contract. So they called one of them and asked him to wound the camel. He similarly cut the veins of its legs. That is, the system was put to a halt.
فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ٣٠
54:30. Should they not then pay attention to the sufferings which befell them according to the law of Allah, and to the precaution which was given before it?
إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ صَيۡحَةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ فَكَانُواْ كَهَشِيمِ ٱلۡمُحۡتَظِرِ٣١
54:31. So there was a great earthquake in the land where they lived and they all became as dung of the hedged fence.
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ٣٢
54:32. And We have made this Quran easy for all people to receive advice and to live better. Are there people who are prepared to get good advice from this?
كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ لُوطِۢ بِٱلنُّذُرِ٣٣
54:33. Likewise, also the community of Looth forsook Our precaution.
إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَاصِبًا إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٖۖ نَّجَّيۡنَٰهُم بِسَحَرٖ٣٤
54:34. So all but those who belonged to the Reformist Looth perished in the torrential downpour that fell there. (See 11: 81-83) Looth and his followers left the place before dawn and went to another place.
نِّعۡمَةٗ مِّنۡ عِندِنَاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي مَن شَكَرَ٣٥
54:35. Thus they were saved by the grace of Allah. In this way, those who act according to the guidance of Allah will reap the benefits.
وَلَقَدۡ أَنذَرَهُم بَطۡشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوۡاْ بِٱلنُّذُرِ٣٦
54:36. Reformist Looth repeatedly warned of the severe torments that would befall them prior to those disasters occurred. However, they ignored those warnings.
وَلَقَدۡ رَٰوَدُوهُ عَن ضَيۡفِهِۦ فَطَمَسۡنَآ أَعۡيُنَهُمۡ فَذُوقُواْ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ٣٧
54:37. Finally reformist when the guests who had brought warning messages of the evil impacts to the Reformist, people approached them with bad intent. To that extent, they were blindly immersed in the passion of homosexuality. So they were not ready to think about the warnings that came to them. So I had to tell them to taste those pains.
وَلَقَدۡ صَبَّحَهُم بُكۡرَةً عَذَابٞ مُّسۡتَقِرّٞ٣٨
54:38. So the next morning the disaster befell them.
فَذُوقُواْ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ٣٩
54:39. Thus, do they not notice about the precaution of the afflictions which would befall them according to the decree of Allah?
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ٤٠
54:40. And We have made this Quran easy for all people to receive advice and to live better. Are there people who are prepared to get good advice from this?
وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَ ءَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ ٱلنُّذُرُ٤١
54:41. In the same way, warning messages came to the community of Fir’aun about the calamities that would befall them by their wrongdoings.
كَذَّبُواْ بَِٔايَٰتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُمۡ أَخۡذَ عَزِيزٖ مُّقۡتَدِرٍ٤٢
54:42. But they denied the evidence of Allah. So they became entangled in the powerful grip of “the consequences of wrongdoing.”
أَكُفَّارُكُمۡ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ أُوْلَٰٓئِكُمۡ أَمۡ لَكُم بَرَآءَةٞ فِي ٱلزُّبُرِ٤٣
54:43. O, Reformist! Convey the historical evidences of the past repeatedly to the people. Tell them, “Are you more powerful than the people of the past? Or do you think you will be exempted from such suffering? Do you have any evidence of that?”
أَمۡ يَقُولُونَ نَحۡنُ جَمِيعٞ مُّنتَصِرٞ٤٤
54:44. O, Reformist! Do you imagine that they can all rally against you and defeat you?
سَيُهۡزَمُ ٱلۡجَمۡعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ ٱلدُّبُرَ٤٥
54:45. And let them all come together and meet on the battlefield. Soon they will disperse and run away.
بَلِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ مَوۡعِدُهُمۡ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ أَدۡهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ٤٦
54:46. Therefore, according to the canon of Allah, the time for the outbreak of revolution is near, as announced at the beginning of this chapter. After that their condition will become very severe and bitter.
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ وَسُعُرٖ٤٧
54:47. Then the guilty will be in great loss and torment.
يَوۡمَ يُسۡحَبُونَ فِي ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمۡ ذُوقُواْ مَسَّ سَقَرَ٤٨
54:48. They will be dragged off their heads and thrown into a dungeon of torment. They will be left to experience those pains there.
إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيۡءٍ خَلَقۡنَٰهُ بِقَدَرٖ٤٩
54:49. The question may arise as to why it is so late for these torments to reach them. These procedures are set for each subject according to Allah's plan. So everything is going smoothly. That is how they will suffer.
وَمَآ أَمۡرُنَآ إِلَّا وَٰحِدَةٞ كَلَمۡحِۢ بِٱلۡبَصَرِ٥٠
54:50. If we had not already enacted such laws that formally inflict torments, We could have made those commands fulfilled within the blink of an eye. (See 16:61)
وَلَقَدۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَآ أَشۡيَاعَكُمۡ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ٥١
54:51. O Mankind! Many communities like yours are perishing according to the rules we have set. Do you have the intention to think about this and get good advice?
وَكُلُّ شَيۡءٖ فَعَلُوهُ فِي ٱلزُّبُرِ٥٢
54:52. The actions of everyone in the world are being monitored and recorded.
وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٖ وَكَبِيرٖ مُّسۡتَطَرٌ٥٣
54:53. Those actions, no matter how small or large, do not escape from Our register.
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّٰتٖ وَنَهَرٖ٥٤
54:54. Those who do well in the fear of these legal provisions of Allah will have good opportunities to live in paradise-like gardens.
فِي مَقۡعَدِ صِدۡقٍ عِندَ مَلِيكٖ مُّقۡتَدِرِۢ٥٥
54:55. This is the position and high status of the good deeds they are doing. These are the arrangements made by Allah Almighty.
