بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Whatever program we initiate in our life, will be as per the Pre-Directed Guidelines of Allah, the Most Benevolent and the Most Merciful. (6:162)
وَٱلطُّورِ١
52:1. Consider the events that took place during Reformist Moosa Nabi in the mountainous region of Thoor.
وَكِتَٰبٖ مَّسۡطُورٖ٢
52:2. Examine this Scripture, which has been compiled on white paper.
فِي رَقّٖ مَّنشُورٖ٣
52:3. Also, note that its guidelines spread far and wide.
وَٱلۡبَيۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡمُورِ٤
52:4. Investigate the headquarters of the Ka’aba, which is considered to be the house of Rabbu and the excellent way of life announced by Allah at its anchor.
وَٱلسَّقۡفِ ٱلۡمَرۡفُوعِ٥
52:5. Also, explore the skyrocketing ideas that take thinkers to the next level.
وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ ٱلۡمَسۡجُورِ٦
52:6. Or explore the raging sea as if joined together. Or explore the plight of coastal fishing. (See 7: 163-168)
These all emphasize the same thing over and over again. That is, the consequences of human actions have always been as per the Pre-Directed Law of Allah world over, by ejecting His guidance.
إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَٰقِعٞ٧
52:7. Communities will continue to suffer according to the canon of Rabbu.
مَّا لَهُۥ مِن دَافِعٖ٨
52:8. No one can stop such sufferings from coming.
يَوۡمَ تَمُورُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ مَوۡرٗا٩
52:9. Like the time when the torment draws near, the ruling class in the upper echelons of government will be trampled underfoot.
وَتَسِيرُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ سَيۡرٗا١٠
52:10. The status of those who have mounted wealth beyond needs will fall behind. (See 20: 105-107)
فَوَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ١١
52:11. The reason is that they do not preserve social equality according to the guidance precepts. Thus the period of doom surrounds them.
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ فِي خَوۡضٖ يَلۡعَبُونَ١٢
52:12. And when you tell them the facts of guidance, they take it as a joke without thinking about it. Their idea is to enjoy temporary comforts to that extent.
يَوۡمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا١٣
52:13. This will make the condition of such people worse. Their condition will be as painful as the one who fell into the fire.
هَٰذِهِ ٱلنَّارُ ٱلَّتِي كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ١٤
52:14. At such a point, you would be telling them that these are the torments of hell that you used to lie about.
أَفَسِحۡرٌ هَٰذَآ أَمۡ أَنتُمۡ لَا تُبۡصِرُونَ١٥
52:15. Then they will be asked, “Is this the art of seducing people?" Are you not like the blind who are not worthy to think of anything?
ٱصۡلَوۡهَا فَٱصۡبِرُوٓاْ أَوۡ لَا تَصۡبِرُواْ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ إِنَّمَا تُجۡزَوۡنَ مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ١٦
52:16. So enter into that painful life. There, whether you endure the pains or not, torments will continue. These are the punishments that come as a result of the evil deeds you have done.
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّٰتٖ وَنَعِيمٖ١٧
52:17. On the contrary, the lives of those who function as per Rabbu’s guidance will be heavenly.
فَٰكِهِينَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ وَوَقَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ١٨
52:18. They rejoice in what they receive from their Rabbu. They will recover from the torment of Hell because they have followed His guidance.
كُلُواْ وَٱشۡرَبُواْ هَنِيَٓٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ١٩
52:19. As a result of accepting His guidance and doing good deeds, you will have plenty of food and soft drinks.
مُتَّكِِٔينَ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٖ مَّصۡفُوفَةٖۖ وَزَوَّجۡنَٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٖ٢٠
52:20. You will perform your duties as recliners on couches laid out as a team. Pious comrades will work with you to cool the eyes.
وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱتَّبَعَتۡهُمۡ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَٰنٍ أَلۡحَقۡنَا بِهِمۡ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمۡ وَمَآ أَلَتۡنَٰهُم مِّنۡ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَيۡءٖۚ كُلُّ ٱمۡرِيِٕۢ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٞ٢١
52:21. This heavenly life is not just for those who accept Rabbu's guidance. If their descendants accept the same, they too will have a life similar to that of Paradise. They will not face any criticism in any case. They get the same benefits as they do. Every human being is the recipient of the benefits due to his action.
وَأَمۡدَدۡنَٰهُم بِفَٰكِهَةٖ وَلَحۡمٖ مِّمَّا يَشۡتَهُونَ٢٢
52:22. Fruits, delicious meat, and sumptuous food items will continue to be available for them.
يَتَنَٰزَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأۡسٗا لَّا لَغۡوٞ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأۡثِيمٞ٢٣
52:23. One will exchange a cup of elixir for the other. There will never be any room for vain talk or guilt.
۞وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ غِلۡمَانٞ لَّهُمۡ كَأَنَّهُمۡ لُؤۡلُؤٞ مَّكۡنُونٞ٢٤
52:24. Their children will be colorful playing around them. Dressed in pearl-studded clothing, will all be so much attractive. (See: 13: 23,52: 21 & 59:17)
وَأَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٖ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ٢٥
52:25. They will greet each other with a smile.
قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبۡلُ فِيٓ أَهۡلِنَا مُشۡفِقِينَ٢٦
52:26. “Before this, we had to live in fear with our family”
فَمَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡنَا وَوَقَىٰنَا عَذَابَ ٱلسَّمُومِ٢٧
52:27. They will say, “But now Allah has given us the privilege of overcoming that fear and living in peace.”
إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبۡلُ نَدۡعُوهُۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡبَرُّ ٱلرَّحِيمُ٢٨
52:28. Surely before this, we sought the help of Allah. He showed us the right way to live. We too have become worthy of the grace of Allah because we acted in the way He showed us.
فَذَكِّرۡ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِنِعۡمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٖ وَلَا مَجۡنُونٍ٢٩
52:29. O, Reformist! Continue with your duty of preaching the guidance. Mention the benefits of following the guidance of your Rabbu. As they say, you are neither an astrologer nor an insane crazy either.
أَمۡ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٞ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِۦ رَيۡبَ ٱلۡمَنُونِ٣٠
52:30. Still, others call you a poet and say that suffering would surround you as time goes on. They say, “We will wait until then.”
قُلۡ تَرَبَّصُواْ فَإِنِّي مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡمُتَرَبِّصِينَ٣١
52:31. O, Reformist! Let them wait and wait. Let them know that, of course, I expect the same from you.
أَمۡ تَأۡمُرُهُمۡ أَحۡلَٰمُهُم بِهَٰذَآۚ أَمۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٞ طَاغُونَ٣٢
52:32. Do you think that they do not have sense and talk like this? No. It is their selfishness that makes them talk like this, so much they are involved in outrageous activities.
أَمۡ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُۥۚ بَل لَّا يُؤۡمِنُونَ٣٣
52:33. They will give another reason for not accepting His guidance. They claim that he is the one who fabricates this Quran by himself. This is also their lame excuse for not accepting the Quran.
فَلۡيَأۡتُواْ بِحَدِيثٖ مِّثۡلِهِۦٓ إِن كَانُواْ صَٰدِقِينَ٣٤
52:34. If they are truthful in their argument, ask them to come up with other means (hadith) that will benefit the people. (See 2: 23,10: 38,11: 13 & 17: 88)
أَمۡ خُلِقُواْ مِنۡ غَيۡرِ شَيۡءٍ أَمۡ هُمُ ٱلۡخَٰلِقُونَ٣٥
52:35. Ask them, “Is the creation of man is of his own creation? Or is there any Creator who created them? ”
أَمۡ خَلَقُواْ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَۚ بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ٣٦
52:36. Ask them, “Or did you create the universe and the earth yourself?” They can not give a definitive answer.
أَمۡ عِندَهُمۡ خَزَآئِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمۡ هُمُ ٱلۡمُصَۜيۡطِرُونَ٣٧
52:37. Ask them, “Do you have as much treasures as Allah has? Are you only entitled to use those treasures? Do you think that there is none to question about your activities?”
أَمۡ لَهُمۡ سُلَّمٞ يَسۡتَمِعُونَ فِيهِۖ فَلۡيَأۡتِ مُسۡتَمِعُهُم بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ مُّبِينٍ٣٨
52:38. They claim to know the secrets of the heavens. If so ask them, if they have any ladder to go up into the sky and hear them. If so, ask them to bring you clear evidence of what they heard.
Revealed messages are not things that man learns by his own ability. These are to be given to whoever deserves it according to the plan of Allah as a whole. (2: 105)
أَمۡ لَهُ ٱلۡبَنَٰتُ وَلَكُمُ ٱلۡبَنُونَ٣٩
52:39. Or you say that Allah has daughters. But you want to have only male children. Is it a justifiable act?
أَمۡ تَسَۡٔلُهُمۡ أَجۡرٗا فَهُم مِّن مَّغۡرَمٖ مُّثۡقَلُونَ٤٠
52:40. O, Reformist! Have you ever asked for any amount from them to hear your speech? Is that why they are afraid of you and turn away from it?
أَمۡ عِندَهُمُ ٱلۡغَيۡبُ فَهُمۡ يَكۡتُبُونَ٤١
52:41. Or do those who say they have secret messages, ask them to write it down?
أَمۡ يُرِيدُونَ كَيۡدٗاۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ هُمُ ٱلۡمَكِيدُونَ٤٢
52:42. Or do they seek to plot against you? If that is true, they themselves will be caught by the plots.
أَمۡ لَهُمۡ إِلَٰهٌ غَيۡرُ ٱللَّهِۚ سُبۡحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ٤٣
52:43. Or do they say that there are gods who control the universe other than Allah? If so, then declare that Allah is beyond such thoughts.
They have no intellectual answer to any of the questions asked above. They will give only emotional answers. All of these are just based on superstitions.
وَإِن يَرَوۡاْ كِسۡفٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ سَاقِطٗا يَقُولُواْ سَحَابٞ مَّرۡكُومٞ٤٤
52:44. Adversities are rushing around them. But they do not note them. Yet they are in a state of apathy that their imaginary gods will surely save them when dangers come. They say that whatever danger comes from the sky, it is a cloud.
فَذَرۡهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُواْ يَوۡمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِي فِيهِ يُصۡعَقُونَ٤٥
52:45. So leave such people in their course.
يَوۡمَ لَا يُغۡنِي عَنۡهُمۡ كَيۡدُهُمۡ شَيۡٔٗا وَلَا هُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ٤٦
52:46. At such a time none of their conspiracy plans will materialize. So they will get no benefit. No one can help them.
وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ عَذَابٗا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ٤٧
52:47. So those who commit unrighteous deeds will be punished in this world. The pain will continue after death. Most of them do not know this fact.
وَٱصۡبِرۡ لِحُكۡمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعۡيُنِنَاۖ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ٤٨
52:48. So do not listen to their baseless talks. You continue to work as per the schemes of Allah's Rule. Work tirelessly from morning to evening to carry out Allah's programs well and make them glorious.
وَمِنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ فَسَبِّحۡهُ وَإِدۡبَٰرَ ٱلنُّجُومِ٤٩
52:49. Set aside sometime in the morning and sometime before dawn if necessary and have a deep study on Allah's plans.
Chapter No: 53 – Soorah: An Najam (Star in Day Break)
