The Progress
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Whatever program we initiate in our life, will be as per the Pre-Directed Guidelines of Allah, the Most Benevolent and the Most Merciful. (6:162)
The power class is suppressing the energies of the weak people so that they do not grow. As a result, their standard of living becomes lifeless, like wasteland not useful for agriculture. But, if they follow the guidance of Rabbu,
وَٱلنَّٰزِعَٰتِ غَرۡقٗا١
79:1. The energies of the constricted weaker section will grow very fast and come on the path of progress.
The barriers imposed by the ruling class against them will be removed and slavery will be liberated. Thus,
وَٱلنَّٰشِطَٰتِ نَشۡطٗا٢
79:2. These oppressed factions will act creatively as free birds and advance rapidly.
وَٱلسَّٰبِحَٰتِ سَبۡحٗا٣
79:3. When they act according to His guidance, they will progress without any restrictions.
Just as smooth sea travel without any restrictions.
فَٱلسَّٰبِقَٰتِ سَبۡقٗا٤
79:4. Thus, they will take the lead in progress.
Through their series of development projects, all management power in the regime will be snatched away from the ruling class.
فَٱلۡمُدَبِّرَٰتِ أَمۡرٗا٥
79:5. They will also plan and manage according to His guidance.
It is a testament to the fact that such a revival will take place at the hands of the followers of guidance to raise the living standards of the oppressed. This renaissance will occur gradually.
يَوۡمَ تَرۡجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ٦
79:6. So, the weaker section will progress gradually,
تَتۡبَعُهَا ٱلرَّادِفَةُ٧
79:7. The grip of the ruling class will weaken.
قُلُوبٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ وَاجِفَةٌ٨
79:8. At such a time, the situation of the leaders who have been working with arrogance will be shaken. They will tremble with fear.
أَبۡصَٰرُهَا خَٰشِعَةٞ٩
79:9. Because of their failure, it will make them bow down in shame.
Such a situation will occur. But notice what community leaders are talking about right now.
يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرۡدُودُونَ فِي ٱلۡحَافِرَةِ١٠
79:10. “Do you notice their speech? This power and wealth which we have acquired deceiving the poor common people will be snatched away! We will be pushed to the bottom and pushed to a life of nothingness!”
أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَٰمٗا نَّخِرَةٗ١١
79:11. He ridicules, “We will all become useless skeletons.”
قَالُواْ تِلۡكَ إِذٗا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٞ١٢
79:12. “If we have such a situation, we will be a great loss!” In this way, they ridicule.
فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجۡرَةٞ وَٰحِدَةٞ١٣
79:13. “But, We have no problem pushing them to that point. Only one war trumpet is enough for them.
فَإِذَا هُم بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ١٤
79:14. Then, they will have to meet us on the field. Then, there will be an end to this arrogant talk.
This is nothing new. These are events that have been going on for a long time. That is, those who live at the top level oppress those who live at the bottom level. The coming of reformists and social activists came in support of the oppressed people. Striving for their development and taking them on the path of progress. The rulers conspire against them. Then the conflicts between the two factions intensified. All this has been going on all over the world for a long time as Dharma is ultimately winning. In that order -
هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ١٥
79:15. Have you ever heard of the event that took place between Moosa and Fir’aun?
إِذۡ نَادَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ بِٱلۡوَادِ ٱلۡمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى١٦
79:16. The culmination of long-term personal experiences in human life and the knowledge acquired based on them - beyond that, the guidance through revelation was duly given to Moosa Nabi! (20:12)
The instructions came from Rabbu to convey those guidelines to the people, to make reforms, and mobilize the support of the people. (26:11) Then -
ٱذۡهَبۡ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ١٧
79:17. He was asked, “Go to Fir’aun. He is leading the country on the path of destruction by committing acts of transgression. He is brutally oppressing the poor.”
Fir’aun, who had been tyrannical and amassing wealth with the power of the ruling, was not told to step down. Instead, he is advised to change his course.
فَقُلۡ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ١٨
79:18. Moosa Nabi was directed by Allah to ask Fir’aun if he has any desire to improve humanity in him.
وَأَهۡدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخۡشَىٰ١٩
79:19. And he said, “If you wish, I will explain to you the plans of the governance of Allah. Then, you will change your mindset and stop your misdeeds. This country is heading towards destruction.”
فَأَرَىٰهُ ٱلۡأٓيَةَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ٢٠
79:20. Accordingly, Reformist Moosa Nabi went to Fir’aun and explained to him the doctrines of Rabbu and the principles of morality. He also explained the revival they would bring to the country (20:23)
فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ٢١
79:21. But Fir’aun refused to accept them and made them lie (28:36).
ثُمَّ أَدۡبَرَ يَسۡعَىٰ٢٢
79:22. Not only that, he was involved in many conspiracies against the Reformist Moosa Nabi.
فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ٢٣
79:23. He assembled many religious and political experts of his community to discuss the guidance that Moosa Nabi preached. (20:60)
فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ٢٤
79:24. Assembling them all, he said, “I am the One who takes care of all of you. But Moosa says that Allah is the One who takes care of you all. Is this correct?”
فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَٱلۡأُولَىٰٓ٢٥
79:25. Thus, when one transgresses the laws of Allah, he falls into the clutches of the law of "the consequences of human deeds" prescribed by Him. So, his present and future stable life are ruined.
These are all events that have taken place. So it is a fixed law prescribed by Allah that whoever is in a high position, no matter how high is his position, must face the consequences of his actions.
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبۡرَةٗ لِّمَن يَخۡشَىٰٓ٢٦
79:26. So, this incident will be a lesson to those who are afraid of such powerful rules of Allah. (12: 111)
O Social reformers! Explain the source of these historical events to your community and advise them to follow His guidance and live accordingly. Also, convey to them the purpose and facts of His creations to the people. They will think about it and reap the benefits. Therefore
ءَأَنتُمۡ أَشَدُّ خَلۡقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُۚ بَنَىٰهَا٢٧
79:27. Are the planets and stars operating in the universe powerful in Allah's creations or are the human beings mighty? That is, ask them to think and respond about whether it is difficult to create them or to create human beings.
رَفَعَ سَمۡكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا٢٨
79:28. He created and operated the planets and numerous stars in the vast universes. Is it Allah or you who arranged their orbits to travel in fixed circles?
Then, look at the functions of the earth on which you live. Consider how much evidence there is to prove His supreme powers in the alternating days and nights (3: 190-191).
وَأَغۡطَشَ لَيۡلَهَا وَأَخۡرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا٢٩
79:29. Is He the One who envelops the darkness of the earth and makes it luminous? Or you? (78: 9-11)
Can a creature survive in this world, if it stays up at night or stays up as the day without change? Do you know the history of this earth? Before that it was smoky. (41:11)It was in conjunction with other planets in space (21:30). According to Allah's plan, it was separated from the other planets, was thrown far away, and spread out as the sun family. (21:31) And how grand it is!
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَىٰهَآ٣٠
79:30. Even though the earth is spherical, Allah created it in such a way that you could stand upright beneath the sky.
أَخۡرَجَ مِنۡهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرۡعَىٰهَا٣١
79:31. The water once surrounded throughout the earth for ages was gradually drained and the sea was separated from the land. Following that, plants and vines grew in the sea and on land.
وَٱلۡجِبَالَ أَرۡسَىٰهَا٣٢
79:32. The line of those works also includes the great mountains like nails.
So, these are all created under the law of creation of Allah. None of them was created by you. The period taken in the evolution of those creative laws is fifty and fifty thousand years. (70:4) Thus all these are the creations of Allah under His long plan of action.
مَتَٰعٗا لَّكُمۡ وَ لِأَنۡعَٰمِكُمۡ٣٣
79:33. And Rabbu created them to be useful to you and other living beings. Not to claim ownership rights over them.
When the livelihoods thus created for the whole of the living beings, come under private control, there develops inequality in the country. When such a misguided social system exists, the ruling class is likely to oppress the laity.
فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلطَّآمَّةُ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ٣٤
79:34. The ensuing riots become inevitable. This is what has been mentioned in the opening verses of this chapter.
يَوۡمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ٣٥
79:35. If a community is formed according to His guidance, no one there will misappropriate the labor of others. Everyone will receive only the rewards for their labor. And no one's work will go in vain. (53:39)
وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلۡجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ٣٦
79:36. At that time, those who are intelligent will understand the truth of hellish life.
At present, that hellish torment continues in this world. But what is the use? No one thinks about it. (29:54), (39:48) (82:16)
فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ٣٧
79:37. Remember! Who refuses to obey the guidance of Rabbu and its constitutional by-laws;
وَءَاثَرَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا٣٨
79:38. Those who live for temporary comfort instead of future sustainable benefits;
فَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ هِيَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ٣٩
79:39. Their lives will become miserable in this world and the next. They also stand in the way of social progress.
وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفۡسَ عَنِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰ٤٠
79:40. On the contrary, those who, realizing that no matter how long they live, must meet the consequences of their actions according to the rules prescribed by Rabbu, set their minds and desires by His guidance.
فَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ هِيَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ٤١
79:41. Their life will be sweet - like Paradise - in this world and the life Hereafter.
يَسَۡٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرۡسَىٰهَا٤٢
79:42. They hear about this revival and ask you when it will come.
فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكۡرَىٰهَآ٤٣
79:43. O, Reformist! Tell them that time is not a matter of telling when it will happen (7: 187), (33: 63) & (42: 17-18)
Because all these are created according to his labor. The more he works for it, the sooner the changes will occur.
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَىٰهَآ٤٤
79:44. Therefore, their benefits will come to the fore according to a fixed period. These are all things that can happen according to Allah's standard law called, "Mashiyath".
إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخۡشَىٰهَا٤٥
79:45. Your mission is to provide precautionary measures to those who seek refuge in life, having full faith in His law of “The ultimate consequences of human acts.”
كَأَنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَ يَرَوۡنَهَا لَمۡ يَلۡبَثُوٓاْ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوۡ ضُحَىٰهَا٤٦
79:46. On the contrary, if they reject the guidance of Rabbu, its consequences appear, they will say, “We had been given only a short time. That is the evening or the morning. All that is left for them is to lament that we would have changed if we had been given the opportunity.
Chapter No: 80 Soorah: Abasa (Frowning)
