2The state of mind of primitive man
In primitive times, man believed that when he was in danger, some forces above him were acting and that this situation was due to them, and that if he satisfied those forces in some way, his troubles and sorrows would go away. Historical events testify that at one point, he was afraid of even the sound of thunder and lightning, and sought protection from them by hugging trees and stones.
Over time, man began to give images to the forces above him. He developed the idea that if he worshipped them, no dangers would come to him. He believed that they would protect him from natural disasters like rain, storms, floods, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions. Therefore, he created an image for each natural force. He also considered animals like goats, cows, and camels, which were the source of his life, as Rabbus and worshipped them.
3Modern Man
This situation continues in today's era as well. We see people from every community kneeling and praying in front of the idols they have created. They fear that if they do not pray, they will not succeed in their work, and so they start working only after praying and offering prayers. We see Christians making an image of Jesus Christ (Isa) whom they worship and standing in front of it and praying. We see Muslims praying and making dua to Allah. We also see them going to the burial place of the deceased ancestors and praying.
We also see that our Hindu brothers in our country give various forms to various powers and worship them. For example, they have created a god for education, a god for wealth, a god for bravery. We also see that they pray before them, thinking that there is a god for each village and town, and that god has wives and children, and that they are also gods and goddesses. They believe that their lives will be prosperous only if they satisfy all of them, and that if they criticize any of them, dangers will come. We also see that if they criticize the worship and say anything, it will be an offense to the Rabbu and that some danger will come to the village.
So, look at the various religious rituals in the world. You will see that they all pray to the god they have created and have an unshakable faith that he will definitely remove their shortcomings. Even then, if their wishes are not fulfilled, they spend a few thousand or lakhs, saying that if they perform a specific puja, they will definitely fulfil them.
We hear Muslims say that if they make dua to Allah, whom they worship, He will definitely solve their problems. Not only that, they say that if we recite this Surah (chapter), there will be no financial problems in our lives, and if we recite this Surah, we will not be sick. In this way, there are people who take many Surahs from the Quran, compile them, publish books and earn money.
Even so, if the problems in their lives are not solved, we also hear them say, “Times when dua is accepted.” They also say that if we shed tears and ask for dua, Allah will have mercy on us and solve our problems. Even if we do not cry, they say that we should pretend to cry. Or we see scenes where everyone turns off the lights and makes dua in a particular month, saying that Allah will definitely solve it. Some people make dua together. And some say that one should not make dua in groups. They say that one should make dua directly to Allah individually for what one needs, according to one's needs.
4Prayer and Destiny
So, these are all the prayers that are being performed daily by the people of the respective communities and their methods. Now look at the prayers that are being performed by the people of the entire community. We should also think about whether they are being fulfilled. If they are being fulfilled, how were they fulfilled, and if they are not being fulfilled, why were they not fulfilled? If the grievances do not go away, then the immediate answer of the religious leaders is that whether the prayers are fulfilled or not is the destiny of each person. Hindus say that they are fulfilled only if god wills. Muslim scholars also say that they are fulfilled only if Allah wills. They say that no one knows what His Will is except Him.
5Prayers performed on the world stage
Now look at what is happening on the world level. Both Hitler, who started the Second World War, and Winston Churchill, who responded to it, started it after praying to the god they worshipped. Billions of people who did not want England's domination prayed to the god they worshipped that England should be defeated. On the other hand, billions of people prayed that dictator Hitler and the forces of Mussolini from Italy who supported him should be defeated. That war lasted for about five years. In this way, billions of people tried to win god over to their side. Whose prayers did Allah accept and whom did He help? Have you ever thought about this?
The above incidents are about people from different countries. But let us also look at the issue that happened between countries where Muslims live. Recently, there was a war between Iran and Iraq for eight years. The people of both countries have full faith in Allah. At that time, the Iranians prayed to Allah for the defeat of Saddam Hussein, who was the president of Iraq, and the Iraqis prayed to Allah for the victory of Saddam Hussein. Following that, 40 countries joined forces to wage war on Iraq. At that time, billions of Muslims prayed to Allah for the victory of Saddam Hussein. Then, when the United States and its allies invaded Afghanistan, Muslims prayed against George Bush, who was the enemy O, My of Afghanistan. Did Allah accept their prayers and help Iraq and Afghanistan? Have you ever thought about this?
When asked why Allah did not accept the prayers of the Muslims, some replied that Allah would be on the side of justice. At that time, the question arose whether all Muslims in the world were unjust. Besides, were there not unjust and illegal acts taking place in America and European countries? Even so, they won the war? Do you know what the Muslims said? Only Allah knows who the wrongdoers are. Then you prayed to Allah! Your prayer was not accepted! Are you also wrongdoers? If you ask them, they have no answer for that either.
6On whose side Allah is?
These are all things that happen in the world arena. Let us also look at a personal matter that happens among Muslims. Rahim was involved in a property case against Rahman. Both of them kept praying to Allah to get a favourable verdict. But it was not known whose side Allah would take. So, Rahim went to a great scholar and asked for advice about this. He also gave him some duas to recite ‘this’ dua. He encouraged him and sent him away saying that Insha Allah, you will get a favourable verdict. Similarly, Rahman, for his part, went to a religious scholar and asked for advice. He also suggested some dua and vowed to feed and clothe to the poor for the sake of Allah if he wins the case. He advised him that the verdict would be in his favour, Insha Allah. Similarly, Rahman also made a vow with Dua.
Tell me. Now, on whose side will Allah lean? Will Allah be on the side of the one who meditates and makes the most vows? If He leans like that, what will happen of justice? No. No. If Allah leans on the side of the one on whom justice is, then what is the point of the duas and vows that both of them are making? If they are all useless, then why should they go to Allah and pray? Isn't all praying to Allah in vain?
We need to know the reason for this kind of stalemate. It is the wrong views that people have about Allah. Allah or Rabbu. People want to act according to their desires. But Allah/Rabbu has firmly stated that man can fulfil his needs only if he acts according to His will. Consider the verse of the Quran.
2:186. (O Reformist!) When My followers ask you about Me, say: “Indeed, I am near. I respond to the prayer of the supplicant when he calls upon me. Let them ask Me and believe in Me. Then they will be guided.”
1. Those who ask where Allah is are told that He is near to every person.
2. It is assured that Allah hears every person’s prayer and responds to it in a way that is appropriate for them.
3. But it is also said that every person should believe in Allah alone.
4. It is then that the means will appear for their prayers to be answered.
7How does Allah answer?
This verse says four things. Allah says that He is closer to each person than their jugular vein (50:16). Even if we accept this, it is a bit surprising that He answers our prayers. The reason is: Allah does not speak directly to any human being (42:51). We cannot even hear the answer He gives! Therefore, it is clear that Allah answers through His Book, Quran. Because when someone asks where Allah is, He answers through the Book, the Quran, that He is close. Therefore, it is clear that every prayer that one makes will be answered only through the Quran.
It is also said that one should trust in Allah alone. That is, one should accept only the means that He shows to fulfil your needs. Only then will you find the means to fulfil your needs. So, it is only said that Allah answers the prayers of man and gives guidance for them, but nowhere in the Quran is it said that Allah directly gives everything that man asks for. Man can fulfil his needs only through the system of provision that He has made.
8Is mere prayer enough?
Another truth becomes clear from this. Dua - prayer is the thoughts, supplications and desires that arise in man. When it is presented before Allah, it is expressed as words. After that, what man should do to fulfil those desires and supplications? We have compiled this book to make it clear. Consider the following verse of the Quran.
13:14. The true call (supplication) is for Him alone, and those who call upon others besides Him will not respond to them. The example of those who call upon others besides Allah is like that of a man who holds out his hands for water and prays to reach his mouth. But it will never reach his mouth, unless he drinks it. And as such, the prayer of the disbelievers is nothing but misguidance.
1. The true call is for Allah alone.
2. That is, there is no benefit in calling upon other deities besides Allah.
3. The example of those who call upon others is like that of a man who stands by water and prays with his hands outstretched.
4. If he wants water, he must draw it with his hands and drink it.
5. If he leaves it and just prays, water will not reach his mouth throughout his life. That is, it is Allah's duty to provide water (the means of livelihood). It is the responsibility of man to drink it (obtain the means of livelihood). Praying with mere words and expecting Allah to fulfil it is like praying before lifeless idols.
For example, if one places a kilo of paddy on the table and calls all the people of the village and prays to Allah for a thousand times, will even one more grain of rice be added? Can anyone show that it is increased? Never. The only way to do that is to sow the rice in the ground properly and cultivate it. Only then will the seed multiply a hundredfold. This is what the Quran declares.
53:39&40. And man has nothing but what he strives for. And indeed, he will be shown his effort later.
Have you noticed? Notice what is said in two small verses that man will get only the results of his effort. So, it is not right to expect that Allah will fulfil it if he just prays. Effort and hard work are necessary according to his prayer.
And apart from hard work, clear knowledge is also necessary. Only then can he achieve what he seeks. For example, suppose a person has a cultivable land. He wants to cultivate rice. But he doesn’t know how to cultivate it? How to maintain it? He has no knowledge about it. He doesn’t know how the land should be ploughed, watered and prepared before sowing. He thinks that if he just sprinkles paddy on the land, the crop will grow. Will paddy grow if he sprinkles it like that? Therefore, clear knowledge is also necessary to cultivate rice along with hard work. The same is true for business and other professions. Allah commands us not to follow that which you have no clear knowledge of. (17:36)
9Guidance and the Religion
Here we also want to make one thing clear. As religions say, do not think that Allah is sitting in a certain form somewhere. We can clearly feel that His action plan is not only covered in this world but also in all the universes as a reflection of His infinite powers. For an explanation, go through the book, “Allah and the Man” that we have published.
Here, briefly know this. That is, Allah has designed and implemented the various creations and implemented with diversified functions throughout the world. We call those diversified functions His attributes, powers, or properties; Allah has also created diversified powers in all universal creations and mentions them “Malaika” (angels) through the Quran. Malaika also obey the commandments of man. (2:30) Therefore, man should know through research how the various powers in His creations work and made subservient to make use of them according to his needs.
Based on this, we have tried to clarify how prayers are fulfilled. We wish our dear readers to read it carefully, keep it in mind, live accordingly, and be successful in this world and the hereafter.
10Ruling on a judicial system
Allah's Will is that all administrative actions in this world should be carried out by human beings. On that basis, human beings should also take care of judicial matters. Consider the Quranic verse.
5:8. O you who have believed! Be steadfast in justice. And bear witness to Allah. And let not the hatred of a people cause you to be unjust. Give justice fairly. This is the closest to piety. Fear Allah. Allah is Knowing of what you do.
1. Note that Allah, who is just, has ordered those who believe to render justice.
2. He has asked you to be witnesses that Allah is just, and has placed the responsibility on man.
3. It is also said that there should be no partiality in rendering justice.
4. It is also said that rendering justice should be very fair to that extent.
5. You can judge the extent to which you have reached the closeness of Allah by giving a fair judgment.
6. Reason: If you act against the advice of Allah, there will be adverse consequences. It is also emphasized that you should act with fear.
7. It is also said that none of the actions of man can escape the observation of Allah.
So, Allah has announced through the Quran how to give justice. The court acting in this manner will give a fair verdict. If we leave this all and keep praying, will the verdict be changed?
11Prayer for a child
The following dua was made by Reformist Zakariya. Let us see about it here.
19:4. He said, “O, My Rabbu! I have become old and weak, and my hair has turned grey. And I have not been a wretched man when I called upon You, O, My Rabbu! You have given me everything that I have asked of You.”
19:5. “And indeed, I fear for my relatives after me, and my wife is barren, so grant me an heir from You!” said the Reformist Zachariah.
1. The Reformist Zachariah Nabi did not pray for a child to protect his wealth.
2. Rather, he was worried that there was no one among his relatives who was qualified to carry out the work of reforming society by explaining the guidance of Rabbu and according to it, and he prayed for a helper who could continue that work.
3. He also said that he feared that this work that had been continued since the time of Reformist Yaquoob Nabi would not be continued.
19:6. “He will be my heir. He will be the heir of the descendants of Yaquoob, O, My Rabbu! Make him one who is approved (by You)!"
1. If a child is born to me, I will make him one who is qualified to continue this work, just as the descendants of Yaquoob Nabi and I were qualified to continue the work of social reform by conveying divine guidance.
2. O, My Rabbu! Give me such a powerful child for this purpose," he prayed to Rabbu.
Thinkers! We should also pray to the Almighty Rabbu to have such an able child. Not only that, even if we get our children married, we should also pray to Allah to give us a child with such good conduct and abilities through the spouse. So, Allah announces that Reformist Zechariah's prayer has been accepted and that he will have a child and that his name will be Yahya (3:39).
Although Reformist Zechariah was happy upon hearing this news, he asked how the child would be born, since he and his wife were old. He was told by Allah that he would be born in the same way, as Allah has decreed. (3:40) To that, he asked what he should do
3:41. "O, My Rabbu! Give me a sign (of this)!" as He (Zechariah) asked. To that (Rabbu said, “Your sign is: You will not speak to the people except by gestures for three days! And remember your Rabbu much, and glorify Him morning and evening!” The answer comes from Rabbu in this way.
1. You should stop teaching people for three days, and start working.
2. You should learn in detail about the methods of childbirth and act accordingly.
They say to work tirelessly according to the prescribed rules.
Thus, he made efforts to have a child. The Quran 21:90 states that the health problems of his wife were cured through medical treatment. Then he had a child. What we learn from this is:
1. Whatever we are going to do, it should be for the fulfilment of the plans that Allah has laid down.
2. Even if we have to give birth in that order, we should strive to have a child who can act according to the guidance of Allah. We should know the rules set for having powerful children and act accordingly.
3. That is, prayer with high goals and the necessary effort are clear to us.
If the child is born whether it is a boy or a girl, it is for the fulfilment of Allah's plans, then the necessary blessings will be received from Allah. For example, a gentle woman from the Ale Imran dynasty decided to dedicate the child she was going to give birth to in the path of Allah. (3:35) Contrary to what she expected, she gave birth to a girl (3:36) She named the child Maryam and dedicated it in the house of Rabbu and arranged for her to grow up under the care of Reformist Zakaria. (3:37)
Through Reformist Zakaria, Maryam received all the guidance of Rabbu and grew up as a great woman. According to Allah's plan, Maryam received the news that Reformist Easa would be born through her. So, Maryam (A.S.) has earned an inestimable place as the best woman in the history of the world. (66:12) If every mother and father acts in accordance with the command of Allah in this way, all happiness, fame and glory are certain to be achieved.
12Nooh Nabi's prayer to save his son
11:45. Nooh said to his Rabbu, "O, My Rabbu! Indeed, my son is of my family, and Your promise to save my family is true, and You are the best of judges."
11:46. He said, “O Nooh, indeed he does not belong to your family as he is doing evil. So, do not ask me about him as if you know nothing, and I advise you not to be of the ignorant.”
11:46 Explanation:
1. Seeing his son being swept away in the flood, Reformist Nooh Nabi prays to Rabbu to save him from grief.
2. The reason is that Allah had promised to save his family members. He prays to Rabbu to grant him justice for this.
3. Rabbu then declares that the boy may be his own son. But since he was indulged in evil deeds, he is not from his family.
4. Even though Nooh warned him, “You will be swept away in the flood. So, get into the ship” (11:42), he did not listen to your advice and arrogantly replied that he would climb up to a mountain and escape.
5. He was then drowned in the waves that rose like a mountain.
6. How is it fair to pray to Rabbu to save him from danger? He himself does not want to save his life. How will Allah help him? Is he not the cause of his son's tragic end?
7. It is not right for a Reformist who knows these facts to ask Rabbu to save him.
8. It is Rabbu's responsibility to show the right path. Accepting it and living safely, or rejecting it and inviting dangers, is a matter of personal choice.
9. Here we must note one thing. Know that even if a Reformist prays, Allah does not change the limits (Sunnah) that He has set.
13The prayer of parents
14:40. “O, My Rabbu! Make me and my descendants to establish prayer! Our Rabbu! Accept my prayer!”
Reformist Ibrahim prayed to Rabbu “O Creator and Sustainer of us all! Guide me and my descendants the way of to establish salath system, to guide the community in accordance with Your guidance. Accept our good deeds,”.
But children should be educated based on guidance and raised with good conduct. When guidance education is taught in this way, they may not understand certain things. So, they may not accept it. Some children may argue. There is a verse in the Quran in this regard.
46:17. He said to his parents, " What is the matter with you? Do you threaten me with the resurrection? How many generations have passed away before me!" They both prayed to Allah for protection and then said to him, "What matters you to disbelieve? Believe! Indeed, the promise of Allah is true." He said, "These are nothing but tales of the ancients."
1. Children should be informed about the way for good future and about the life Hereafter and advise to act accordingly.
2. The facts about life after death may be mysterious to children.
3. The reason is that even parents cannot prove the life after death. Therefore, children may think that they are just a myth.
4. They may think that they are epics of the ancestors.
5. However, children should be urged to believe in the life after death, as they have sought protection from Allah.
6. The reason is that the foundation of Islam is built on believing in the life after death. (For an explanation, read the book Allah and Man that we have written.)
7. That is, the life after death is the final result of this worldly actions.
8. Our life continues even after death. Therefore, we will have to achieve the results/reversals according to our actions there too.
9. Similarly, Reformist Ibrahim (2:132), his grandson Reformist Yaqub (2:133) and the wise man Luqman (31:13-19) used to teach religious education to their children.
10. Therefore, if one does not provide Quranic guidance and worldly education to his children, but only prays to Allah to make his children righteous and intelligent, then there will be no result.
11. There should be both effort on one side and supplication to Allah on the other.
14The children's prayer for their parents
17:24. And lower the wing of humility to them out of mercy, and say, "O, My Rabbu! Have mercy on them both as they raised me when I was young!"
17:25. Your Rabbu knows best what is in your hearts. If you are righteous, then indeed, Allah is -Forgiving to those who seek forgiveness from their hearts.
1. Do not hate your parents by saying, “Chee” or “Dhow” but rather lower the wing of humility towards them and embrace them safely and fulfil their needs.
2. One should advise people to take care of them as they raised safely and without any defects during childhood.
3. Allah confirms this by saying that Allah knows the truth of what in your hearts is.
4. It is also assured that whoever does good deeds in accordance with his supplication will have a safe life without any sorrow.
5. غَفُورً۬ا means the One who frees from sorrows and pains and provides protection.
What is clear from this is that 1. Action 2. Prayer 3. Thoughts and creative efforts in accordance with prayer. Only by keeping your parents happy will you be free from sorrows and have a fulfilling life.
15Pray to correct the father
60:4 (There is a precedent for everything else.) And he said: "Our Rabbu! We have put our trust in You, and to You we turn.
60:5. "Our Rabbu! Make us not a trial for those who disbelieve. Our Rabbu! Indeed, You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise."
1. Reformist Ibrahim Nabi’s father, Aazar was a clergy in the Royal court of Namroodh. He was indulged in idol worship and Ibrahim Nabi tried his best to correct his father. (Ref - 21:52-56) (19:41-45)
2. His father threatened to stone him to death if he did not stop talking like this. (19:46)
3. So, he said that there was nothing he could do except pray to Allah to save him from the punishment that was about to befall his father.
4. He also declared that he was completely dependent on Allah's guidance.
5. He also prayed that the disbelievers who supported his father are not a test for him.
He advised his father from various angles to correct him who was going the wrong way. The reason for this was his affection towards his father. It seems that he was trying to correct him and bring him back to the right path somehow. But he did not succeed in doing so since his father was not ready to accept the one-sided policy. So, he left him and went to Palestine and established a charitable organization called ‘Millath-e-Ibrahim’ and served the people.
It is clear from this that just as Reformist Ibrahim Nabi tried to correct his father, we should also try to correct our parents if they are on the wrong path by explaining the guidance of Allah.
16Reformist Ibrahim Nabi for world peace
Following that, Reformist Ibrahim, knowing the need for a central office for world peace, left Palestine and went to Mecca, the place where the Kaaba was located. There, he took his son Ismail and his servants and settled them. Consider the text of the Quran.
14:37. "O, Our Rabbu! I have settled along with my descendants, near Your House, the Kaa'bah, in the desert valley. Our Rabbu! – To establish prayer system, a group of people May You incline the hearts of the people towards Him! And provide them with food from the fruits that they may be grateful!"
1. Reformist Ibrahim took not only himself but also his son Ismael and some others.
2. The ancient place called Kaaba was a barren place.
3. He settled in this way to teach the guidance of Rabbu and act accordingly, considering global peace.
4. The support of the people there (14:35) was also necessary for this. He tried to gain the support of the people through the educational teachings of collective Salath.
5. He also carried out agriculture and arranged for the grains to grow. They became food for the people.
And Abraham said, "O, My Rabbu, make this land safe and provide security for its people.
2:126 (Remember more:) Ibrahim: “O Rabbu! Make this city a safe place! "Provide to those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, with food grains of every kind." Allah said, "And whoever does not believe, I will give him a taste of pleasure, then I will force him into the torment of the Fire - an evil destination."
1. When Reformist Ibrahim (Nabi) went to Mecca, it was a city inhabited by a large number of people, despite the fact that the surrounding area was a barren, barren forest.
2. Reformist Ibrahim (Nabi) arranged to cultivate various kinds of grains using the techniques of agriculture.
3. They prayed to Allah to provide generous livelihood facilities for those who act in accordance with the provisions of Allah and the reward He has determined, which is "the final consequences according to human actions”.
4. But Allah’s answer was that livelihood would be provided also to those who work without accepting the guidance of Allah. The reason is that He is Rabbul Alameen. That is, the One who takes care of all the universes. The disbelievers are no exception to this. And there is no compulsion in acceptance of the guidance.
5. But those who do not accept the guidance of Rabbu will only seek to enjoy temporary pleasures. Therefore, the answer from Rabbu is that the future permanent life will become a difficult situation with pains.
6. Because the individual knowledge of man will seek only temporary pleasures.
So, after making such arrangements, the two expanded the implementation of the Kaaba.
2:127. When Abraham and Ismael raised the foundation of the House, they said, "O, Our Rabbu! Accept it from us, for You are the Hearing, the Knowing."
1. Reformist Ibrahim Nabi and his son, Ismael expanded the building of the Kaaba.
2. So, when Ismael was taken to Mecca, he was not a child. He was old enough to undertake the construction work.
3. They both prayed to Rabbu to accept their good deeds.
4. Note that here too, the word prayer is used along with actions. It is not just du'a.
2:128. O, Our Rabbu! Make us and the followers Muslims, submitting to You, and from our offspring a nation (of Muslims) who will follow your guidance. and show us our ways of worship and forgive us. Indeed, You are the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
1. Reformist Ibrahim Nabi prayed that he and his son to become Muslims who would completely submit to the instructions of Allah.
2. He also prayed that all the people of the community to become completely obedient to Allah.
3. He asked for the methods to be revealed to them.
4. They praised Allah as the Protector and Lover of all.
That is, Reformist Ibrahim Nabi made efforts to make not only himself and his descendants but also the entire community learn guidance education and become activists who would completely submit to Allah. For this, he knew the methods and acted accordingly. In this way, the troubles that existed in the community were eliminated and a peaceful life flourished. These were the high ideals of Reformist Ibrahim. Reformist Ibrahim taught guidance education not only to his father but also to his children and dedicated himself to world peace. We have a great moral in him.
A small correction:
Historical books say that Reformist Abraham Nabi left his wife Hajira and son Ismael alone in the desert and went away without looking back. In addition, it is said that Hajira wandered here and there in search of water, and that baby Ismael came back with Zamzam water gushing at his feet. All these are fabricated false stories from the Torah and the Bible. We have written the facts according to the Quran above. Decide for yourself which is correct.
17Prayer for a better family
25:74. And those who say, "O, Our Rabbu, grant us from our spouses and our offspring a place of joy and gladness, and make us leaders for the righteous.
1. The righteous people pray for the wives and the children to be pleasant for their eyes.
Here the word azwajinah has come. زوج means a pair. That is, the husband becomes pair to a wife and vice versa. Therefore, this supplication is also applicable to women. They can also pray like this.
3. Making us an Imam for the pious - the explanation of this will come later. Here we will look at the matter of husband and wife first. The reason:
2:187. They are clothing for each other and Allah knows best what you used to secretly deceive yourselves.
1. The relationship between a husband and wife is linked to clothing.
2. Clothing is always attached to the body. Similarly, the relationship between a husband and wife is a relationship that cannot be separated.
3. If the clothing is removed from the body, he will be reduced to animal. Therefore, just as clothing plays a vital role in the completion of human dignity, the relationship between a husband and wife should be a sacred relationship that preserves human morality.
4. There should be no third party in this. If that is the case, happiness will not last in that family. Then wife and children will be pleasant.
5. Until now, the husband and wife may have been deceiving each other in ignorance. If they act together according to the guidance of Rabbu, the family will be full of happiness.
66:6. O you who believe! Save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones.
1. First save yourselves from the Fire. Then save your families from the Fire.
2. That is, you should abstain from evil deeds that turn the family into hell. For example, inappropriate deeds such as using drugs, gambling, extra marital affairs etc.
3. Only then will you have the right to reform the family. If you do not reform yourself and only want the people in the family to reform, that will never happen.
4. Only if every family is reformed in this way, the society, will be peaceful. Otherwise, the people of the community themselves will become turbulent and like a fuel for hell.
Thinkers! Has your prayer that wives and children to become pleasant to your eyes been answered by Allah through the Book? Isn't it necessary to have both prayer and reforming deeds?
Some of the wives of the Reformists were also disbelievers in Rabbu's guidance. For example, the wives of Reformist Nooh Nabi and Reformist Looth Nabi. (66:10) Similarly, Firaun's wife, Asiya Khatun, was a great woman. But her husband, Firaun, was a very tyrant. It is an important duty for a husband to correct his wife by explaining the guidance of Rabbu, and for a wife to correct her husband. It is their choice whether they correct themselves or not. But no one should divorce the other for this reason. If you do so, it will mean that you are imposing the guidance. This has no place in Islam. (2:256)
18Prayer for knowledge
20:114. So exalted is Allah, the King of Truth. And do not hasten to recite the Quran before its revelation has been revealed to you, and say, “O, My Rabbu, increase me in knowledge.”
1. Allah is the Rabbu, the Creator and Sustainer of the universe.
2. The Reformist, who accepted this truth, hastened to act without presenting the Quran revealed through revelation. This is prohibited.
3. He is also advised to pray to Allah to increase his knowledge and wisdom.
4. If the Reformist, who holds the first place among the world's intellectuals, is advised to pray to increase his knowledge and wisdom, can we, who are ordinary people, act spontaneously?
5. We should also try to act according to the guidance of the Quran. For this, we should also pray to increase our knowledge and wisdom.
6. Also know what the answer from Allah has come to this.
55:1-4. The Most Gracious. (He is the one) taught this Quran. He is the one who created man. He taught man the interpretation.
96:4&5. He taught man with the pen. He taught man all that he did not know.
1. The One Rabbu who sent down the Quran through the Reformists Muhammad Nabi (Sal) to increase human knowledge is the Infinitely Merciful.
2. The Rabbu who created man made everything clear through the Reformists.
3. He also arranged for the learning of writing to spread knowledge.
4. Through it, man learned many unknown truths.
There are two ways for man to increase knowledge. (1) Worldly knowledge and (2) knowledge from guidance of Allah. For worldly knowledge, there are approximately 850 verses in the Quran about the creations of the world. But man can only know the nature of the creations of the world and the various functions contained in them through research. And the ability to research them and benefit from them has been given to mankind. (2:31)
The knowledge gained through research can be given to all sections of people and great geniuses and scientists can be created. But the knowledge of moral values can only be learned through the guidance. They are now preserved in the Quran. (15:9) If we teach it to students, it will be a great blessing. It will transform human intellects along with gem of humans.
So, has not the prayer of man for guidance with knowledge and wisdom been guided by Allah?
19Prayer for guidance
1:5-7. Guide us to the straight path. The path of those upon whom You have bestowed Your grace. (It is) not the path of those who have incurred Your wrath, nor the path of those who have gone astray.
1. This supplication is found in the first chapter of the Quran. We recite it during our daily prayers.
2. But unfortunately, those who pray do not get the right guidance.
3. The reason is that they do not know what is being recited.
4. Even if they know, they do not make an efforts to know because they firmly believe that if Allah Wills, we will get the right guidance.
5. In other words, the collective ‘Salath’ system was established by all the Reformists to guide right path of human life to all. But over time, that Salath system (19:59) was changed into a prayer system.
6. However, the Salath system that we have now is a rare tool to establish a connection with Allah. No one can deny this.
7. So, in addition to praying for the right guidance, Allah Himself has also made it clear what kind of guidance it is.
8. That is, the supplication continues to be for those who have followed Allah's guidance and become worthy of receiving blessings in this world and the Hereafter.
9. Not only that, but also note that the supplication seeks to stay away from the path of those who have gone astray and encountered hardships in life.
10. In accordance with the supplication of His servant, an answer has come from Allah. Note that too.
2:1-2 Alif Ilam Imim. This is the Book of Allah, about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those who fear Allah.
1. Alif - Allah - Laam - La ilaha (Allah has all powers) - Meem - Muhammad Nabi (Sal)
2. That is, the Book revealed by Allah, the Almighty, through the Reformist Muhammad Nabi (Sal).
3. The Book revealed will show everyone the right path of human life. There shall be no doubt about it. However -
4. It is said that it will guide only those who are “Rabbu-fearing”.
5. Who are the Rabbu-fearing? If a person engages in evil deeds, he will have to face the consequences. Only those who seek to be safe from such evil consequences are the Rabbu-fearing.
6. Those who live indifferently, thinking that let it happen whatever happens will not find guidance from the Quran.
7. Furthermore, the Quran was revealed so that all people can be guided and live well. Consider this passage that confirms this.
17:9. Indeed, this Quran guides the people to a straight path, and the believers who do good deeds will have a great reward.
1. Do not have doubt that this Quran guides to the right path.
2. Those who accept it without any doubt are the believers.
3. In addition to accepting it, they should not think that their duty is over, but should also do constructive good deeds for the betterment of the society.
4. Those who act in this way are also promised that they will receive many blessings. That is, they should have both good thoughts. Good deeds should be in accordance with the thoughts.
The question may arise whether if we do good deeds without accepting this Quran, will we not get the benefits of it. We will definitely get the benefits. But what the Quran outlines as good deeds are good deeds. If you do not accept the Quran, you will do whatever your mind set tells you to do. For example, if you think that reciting Fatiha Dharood or performing puja are good deeds and spend your precious time and money on them, it will not be included in the list of good deeds of Allah. Therefore, you should accept the Quran and do good deeds accordingly.
Therefore, making dua with your lips for guidance without making any effort is like a person standing in front of water and praying for it to reach his mouth (13:14). Even if a thousand years are passed, the people of the community will not be guided.
20The prayer of Reformist Abraham
26:83-85. O, My Rabbu! “Give me wisdom and join me with the righteous!” “And make for me a good name among the later generations!”
1. Reformist Ibrahim Nabi prayed to Rabbu to grant him knowledge.
2. He also prayed to Rabbu to make him one of the righteous servants.
3. He knew that only through knowledge can one become a good worker.
4. He also prayed that he would become a good guide for the generations to come.
5. He also prayed to Rabbu to include him among the heirs of Paradise.
All these are good thoughts that everyone should have, prayers according to them, and efforts and work according to prayers. Only then can one become a great genius, a person of achievement, and a person worthy of Paradise.
21Prayer to improve speaking skills
20:25-28. Reformist Moosa Nabi said: “O, My Rabbu! Make my heart firm for me, and make my matter easy for me, and untie the knot in my tongue, that they may understand my words.”
1. Conveying the guidance of Rabbu to the people requires mental strength and courage. Reformist Moosa Nabi prays to Rabbu to develop them in himself.
2. He also prays to Rabbu to make the means of doing so easy.
3. He also prays to Rabbu to increase his eloquence.
4. He also prays that he should explain the guidance matters to the people correctly.
5. Therefore, it is everyone's main duty to make dua to Allah and make efforts for this.
The thoughts and prayers of Reformist Moosa Nabi are an example for us. Because his prayer about the ability to speak in order to convey the divine guidance to the political leaders and the people indicates his high intentions. We should also have similar thoughts and prayers.
22Prayer to live as a Muslim!
7:126. How is it right to take revenge on us just because we believed in the signs of our Rabbu when they came to us. Our Rabbu, pour out on us patience and make us Muslims and take us (to death) in submission (to You) (They prayed.)
20:73 “We have believed in our Rabbu that He may forgive us our sins and that which you forced upon us of the magic. And Allah is the Highest, the Most Eternal.”
1. The Way the Jewish religious leaders, who had come to discuss the truths, declare their acceptance of Allah after the Reformist Moosa Nabi explains them. (7:122)
2. King Fira’un, knowing this, becomes angry and threatens to cut off their and hand and feet and crucify them. (7:124)
3. Hearing this, the leaders complain to the king, "Is this punishment for accepting the authentic guidance from Rabbu?"
4. So, they pray, "O Allah! Grant us the strength to remain steadfast in Your guidance and act, no matter how much hardship we face, and
5. Grant us the privilege of remaining Muslims who engage in public welfare projects on the path You have shown us throughout our lives!"
6. They also pray to Rabbu for relief from the effects of the witchcraft teachings they preached to the people when they were priests.
7. They pray to Rabbu that they would accept His guidance wholeheartedly and act accordingly.
8. They say they have no doubt that Allah will protect those who are so obedient.
That is, when truths of guidance are preached to the people and the government, many objections and threats will come. We must endure all that and act steadfastly in following guidance. We must also act with such thoughts. We must pray to Rabbu Almighty to protect us from the dangers posed by the disbelievers. We must also make appropriate efforts for that.
23The supplication for study of the creations of the world
3:190. Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of night and day, there are signs for those who have understanding.
3:191. They glorify Allah, standing, lying on their sides, and they reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth, saying, "Our Rabbu! You have not created all this in vain. Glory be to You! Save us from the punishment of the Fire!"
1. Those who have accepted Allah’s guidance will research the creation of the galaxies and the earth.
2. They will also research the alternation of night and day. They will discover the fact that living beings survive only through this arrangement.
3. They will know that only those who research using knowledge will have the opportunity to discover the various facts that are operating in them.
4. Knowing these facts, they will tirelessly research the creation of Allah day and night.
5. Thus, they reflect on the creations in the galaxiesand the earth, and they find that Allah has not created anything in vain, and they are grateful to Allah.
6. That is, they find that He has created them for creative purposes and use them accordingly.
7. They do not even imagine that Allah's creations can be used for destruction. They fear the punishment of Hell due to misuse of them and protect themselves from it.
3:192. “O, Our Rabbu! Whomsoever You cast into the hell, You have indeed disgraced him, and the wrongdoers have no helpers!”
1. They know that those who misuse the creations of Allah make their society a place of disgrace.
2. They know that there will be no helpers for those who commit such unjust acts, and they pray to Allah to save them from it.
3. And those who do not study the creations of Allah and corrupt the society are also unjust.
4. Because those who do not use the great treasure of knowledge that Allah has blessed to them are also unjust. They know that there will be no helpers for such disgraced societies.
Look at what is happening in today’s modern world. Misuse of new discoveries is ruining the world due to lack of Quranic knowledge. Therefore action in consonance to the prayer is essential.
3:193. We respond to the call of the caller to faith, saying, “Our Rabbu! We believe in your Rabbu’s guidance.” “Our Rabbu! Forgive us our sins, and remove from us our evil deeds, and join us with the righteous.”
1. The Reformists invited the people to have faith on the basis of following things.
2. Those who listened to them were the ones who truly believed in Allah.
3. They prayed to Allah for protection from the consequences of their ignorance, and not examining the creation of Allah.
4. And they pledged to Allah that they would avoid whatever evil deeds your guidance declares.
5. Only then will they be able to join the list of “Great Achivers” who have left their mark on world history, and they will work tirelessly accordingly.
24Thoughts and prayers of Rulers
27:19. Then Sulaiman smiled a little. And he prayed, “O, My Rabbu! Grant me that I may be grateful for Your Favors that You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and that I may do good in a way that pleases You! And admit me, by Your grace, among Your righteous servants!”
1. It was customary for kings of olden days to undertake journeys and correct the injustices that were happening in neighbouring countries.
2. Reformist Sulaiman Nabi was also a king in that way. While he was on his journey, he passed through a valley called “Naml”. A queen was ruling that country.
3. The queen of that country, upon hearing of Reformist Sulaiman’s arrival, ordered her people to stay inside their houses.
4. The reason was that the people would attack them by mistake, and Reformist Sulaiman’s soldiers in turn would attack and crush them without knowing it. (27:18)
5. Upon hearing this, Reformist Sulaiman Nabi smiled and prayed to Rabbu, promising to be grateful and faithful to the blessings that Rabbu had bestowed on him and his father Dhawoodh Nabi.
6. That is, he prayed to Rabbu to make him do good deeds in gratitude to Him, and to prevent others from harming him.
7. Thus, he prayed his name to be included in the list of Great Achievers.
These are the thoughts and prayers of Reformist Sulaiman, the great Israelite king. That is, even while on the throne, he prayed to Rabbu to make him act according to His advice, seeking Rabbu's Favor.
Similarly, he used to collect information about the irregularities that were taking place in the neighbouring country of Saba through the spy group named Hudhud. He sent the Guidance teachings to the princess Sheba, who ruled the country, to bring about social reforms according to Rabbu's guidance. (27:28) When the queen refused to accept it, he consulted his army commanders to see who would teach her a lesson and capture her castle. (27:38)
Hearing this, one of the commanders promised to bring the castle by the time King Sulaiman was ready for battle. (27:39) Another commander, who was well versed in military tactics, announced that he would bring her castle in the blink of an eye. (27:40) King Sulaiman Nabi was proud of the facilities he had. But notice what he prayed for.
27:40. “This is the grace of my Rabbu, that He may test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful. Whoever is grateful, it is for his own good, and whoever is ungrateful, it is for his own loss. My Rabbu is Self-sufficient, Most Honoured.”
1. The great King of Israel, Sulaiman, always acted with the understanding that all the great blessings he received were from Rabbu.
2. He declared,, “The test before me is whether I am grateful to Rabbu or disobey Him, having been given such faciliities.”
3. “Whoever acts with thankful faith, they will reap the benefits. Whoever does wrong, all the losses will come to him.”
4. He declared that his Rabbu is needless and dignified.
5. That is, Reformist Sulaiman declared that even if one uses the blessings he has received constructively for the benefit of the people and acts with gratitude and faith, or if he uses them for destruction, he should act knowing that the benefits and bad consequences of it are for man and not for Rabbu.
6. It seems that he gave these instructions to government officials, military commanders, and armies.
Even though an emperor can act in any way he wants, he was determined to work for the good of the world according to the guidance of Allah, and therefore he earned the indelible title of Sulaiman the Great in world history. Similarly, those in power today should act with gratitude and faith to Allah and work for the benefit of the people. This is the true meaning of prayers to Allah. To rule is to take a great responsibility. The true meaning is.
25The prayer of the soldiers on the battlefield
2:250. And when they went forth to meet Jalooth and his troops, they said, “O, Our Rabbu! Grant us patience and make our feet firm and help us against the disbelieving people. Help us (to be victorious) against these disbelieving people!"
1. The armies on the front line pray to Rabbu to overcome the power of the anti-social forces at the risk of their lives.
2. They say that they need the mental strength to face and act no matter how many difficulties they face.
3. They also pray for physical strength and courage for this.
3:146. Many of Reformists and their companions fought (in the way of Allah) in great numbers, but they did not despair, nor did they become weak, nor did they bow down to their enemies - Allah (such)
3:147. And they did not say anything except, “Our Rabbu! Forgive us our sins and our excesses in our war fares! Make our feet firm! Help us against the disbelieving people.”
1. It is not correct to say that only Reformist Muhammad and his companions alone fought.
2. All the Reformists of the past, who supported the principles of Rabbu and firmly supported them in the community, did not refrain from fighting against the enemies who came against them (the Ribyoons).
3. During the war, one may commit excesses without realizing it. They prayed to Rabbu to protect them from its consequences.
4. Even though the soldiers who participated in the war suffered many hardships, they were not discouraged and so fought bravely.
5. They knew that only those who act with determination will receive the blessings of Allah.
6. Therefore, they prayed to Allah to protect them from the impacts of errors on the battlefield.
7. They also prayed to Allah to give them the strength to continue steadfastly in the work they had undertaken.
8. They also prayed to Allah to reduce the strength of the anti-social elements. Also, consider what Allah's guidance is for this.
26Victory in battle
8:65 O Reformist! Make the believers eager for war, and if there are twenty of you who are patient, they will defeat two hundred. If there are still a hundred of you, they will defeat a thousand of the disbelievers, because (those who oppose the believers) are certainly ignorant people.
1. Before fighting, soldiers should be trained for war. This is an important task of the state.
2. صَآبِرُؤنَ (meaning to make continuous efforts.) That is, if you train continuously, each of you can subdue ten enemies.
3. Those who reject Rabbu who do not know these facts are ignorant
In addition, they should know who, for whom, against whom they have to fight. The guidelines for this have been explained in detail in the Quran. Leaving aside that, simply creating chaos in society, committing murder, using explosives, and spreading terrorism are acts against Islam.
27Prayer for entry into Paradise
3:194. Our Rabbu! And give us what You have promised us through Your messengers, and do not let us down on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You never fail in Your promises.
1. Our Rabbu! Grant us Paradise as You have promised us through Your messengers.
2. Raise us to a high status on the Day of judgement.
3. And that You are never fail in Your promises. The response from Allah is as follows:
It is said here that the life of Hell is disgraceful. Therefore, the life of Paradise means living with dignity, having all the resources in this world and the Hereafter. It is also said that the promises of Allah never change. Also note what Allah's answer is to this.
3:195 So their Rabbu accepted their prayer. “Whoever among you does good, whether male or female, I will not allow to be lost what he has done.” (For you are but one of another.) So those who left their homes or were expelled, or were persecuted in my way, or fought, or were killed, I will surely remove from them the impacts of their evil deeds, and I will surely admit them to Gardens beneath which rivers flow. This is a reward from Allah, and with Allah are beautiful rewards.
1. Allah accepts the supplication of those who pray thus.
2. Whether male or female, It also promised that no effort will go in vain amd whoever does good will enjoy for the life of Paradise.
3. Both men and women are members of society. Therefore, there is no difference between men and women.
4. When reforms are brought into society, some may lose their homes. Some may lose their businesses and crops. (2:155)
5. Some may have to leave their homes and go far off place to render social service.
6. Some may have to face many hardships and difficulties while in service. One should act without fear or discouragement.
7. Enemies will plot against such a social system. Some may even have to fight against them. Some may even have to sacrifice their lives.
8. If you act constructively in this way, the bad habits that have been present among you will be removed and the habit of doing good deeds will develop.
9. Allah has promised to admit those who do such good deeds to Paradise. This Paradise is a wonderful life filled with generous livelihood facilities.
10. These are beautiful rewards from Allah in this world and the Hereafter.
11. This is the promise of Allah. It is your choice to follow it and go to Paradise, or to abandon it and live in temporary luxury and go to Hell in the future.
12. If you abandon the above methods and sit in a corner with just rolling Thasbeeh beats and recite some Wazifas, you will never go to Paradise. Because the promise of Allah never changes.
28Prayers and superstitions
7:189. He created you from one man. And He created for him a mate (from himself) to dwell with him - when he had intercourse with her, she conceived lightly, then she carried it, then it was heavy, and they both prayed to their Rabbu, "If You grant us good, we will both be grateful."
7:190. And when He gives them a good child, they associate partners with Him in what He has given them - and Allah is free from what they associate.
1. It is Allah who creates everyone on the basis of a single cell.
2. For this reason, it is Allah who created a pair of you, male and female.
3. After the two of them unite, the female becomes pregnant.
4. She also carries the foetus for a specified period. When the foetus, which is initially light, grows and becomes heavy,
5. They used to pray to Allah that if a good child is born to them, they would act with gratitude and faith.
6. With the help of Allah, according to their prayers, a healthy child is born to them.
7. But they both associate the deceased saints and preachers with Allah and glorify them. They forget that He is far purer than such association.
8. That is, Allah created those whom they associate with Him (i.e. saints and priests)). They are not worthy of creating anything.
9. The reason is that those deceased saints and great men are not worthy of helping themselves. There are.
That is, they consume nutritious foods, herbs and medicines that Allah has created for the birth of a healthy child. They also pray to Allah. Then they equate those who are not capable of creating anything with Allah and tell their children that they are also the ones who support our lives. Therefore, high opinions about them take root in the mind of the child. What can we say about such people?
Did those saints and priests who have passed away help the birth of a healthy child? When they are powerless to help themselves, how is it fair to teach them to children that they are equal in power to Allah? Asking for help and praying is to Allah! When your need is fulfilled, praise others than Allah.
29Prayer and Gratitude
10:12, And when harm touches man, he calls upon Us, whether he is lying down, sitting, or standing. But when We have removed his harm from him, it is as if he had not called upon Us for the harm that had touched him. Thus, is what they used to do an adornment for the spendthrifts.
1. When a person is afflicted with some pains, he prostrates himself and prays to Allah.
2. When the afflictions are removed according to his supplication, he acts as if Allah had nothing to do with the removal of those afflictions.
3. Thus, he continues to engage in evil acts as before.
4. Not only that, but engaging in such evil acts also seems fair to him.
He forgets how the means created by Allah helped him to get rid of the afflictions that befell him. He continues to engage in the same evil deeds as before. For example, due to inappropriate sexual relations, deadly diseases such as syphilis and AIDS are spread. He tries to get relief by using herbal medicines created by Allah. But he does not prohibit pornographic movies, television and websites that stimulate sexual feelings. Instead, he only advises to use devices such as condoms. The reason is that having sex with women other than wife seems to be a beautiful act to him.
That is, he prays to Allah. But according to Allah's advice, he does not prohibit obscene acts, which are shameful. How can he get permanent happiness after that? Not only this, he acts against many of Allah's advice. Consider another verse of the Quran.
10:22. He it is Who makes you travel on land and sea, and when you are in the ships, they rejoice when they sail with a fair wind, but when a storm strikes and the waves crash against them from every side, they say, "We are encompassed." And they call upon Allah, with a pure heart, saying, "If You save us from this, we will surely be grateful."
10:23. So, when He saved them, when they sought on earth other than the truth, O people, you only sought against yourselves. The enjoyment of the life of this world. Then to Us you will return. We will inform you of what you used to do.
1. Sea voyages are necessary to improve livelihoods.
2. When a gentle breeze blows during sea voyages, travellers enjoy themselves.
3. But when a storm blows and huge waves hit the ship, they become very anxious. They lament, “We are drowning! Is there any way to escape?”
4. Only when such dangers come to their mind do they remember Allah. Then, like those with pure hearts, they pray, “O Allah! If You save us from this calamity, we will follow Your guidance and act with gratitude and faith in You forever.”
5. When the danger is removed from them by the decree of Allah, they will continue to commit evil acts in the land as before. They will engage in actions that can lead to destruction.
6. They will not consider the fact that the bad consequences of this will be their own.
7. The reason is that every action of a person has its consequences already determined. Accordingly, evil consequences will occur according to the evil deeds!
8. Then, when the storm starts to blow in their lives, what can they do? Then, the troubles will be a reminder of the evil deeds they have done. Will they not know this?
When such hardships occur, praying to Allah - and then forgetting Allah's guidance and engaging in inappropriate actions - and praying to Allah to protect them from dangers - are these not (1) words one – (2) thoughts one – (3) actions different from words and intentions? If this is the case, how can we find lasting happiness in life?
30Supplications of the Mu'min
2:285 Reformist believes in what Allah has received, and the believers also believe in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers, saying, "We make no distinction between any of the messengers, and we hear and obey. Our Rabbu! We seek forgiveness from You, and to You is our return."
1. The one who conveys the guidance of Allah accepts the wisdom revealed from Allah.
2. Similarly, the believers who accept the guidance of Allah accept the advice sent by Allah.
3. And they accept the cosmic energy وَمَلَـٰٓٮِٕكَتِهِۦ (angels) that Allah has created and subjected, and they study their activities.
4. And they will accept the laws وَكُتُبِهِۦ (the Scriptures) that Allah has laid down and act accordingly.
5. And they will not discriminate among the messengers وَرُسُلِهِۦ of Allah. That is, they will accept that the Scriptures revealed to all the Reformists are based on the same principle. (2:4, 4:163)
6. And they said, "We have heard the Scriptures قَالُواْ سَمِعۡنَا and the laws, and we will وَأَطَعۡنَاۖ obey them." They will pray to Allah to act accordingly.
7. We seek refuge غُفۡرَانَكَ in Allah from the adverse consequences of acting against His guidance.
8. O, Our Rabbu, and to You is the destiny. Because they firmly believe that every action of man will lead to the consequences determined by Rabbu.
Have you noticed? The believers who accept Allah promise to act according to His guidance. And they seek refuge in Rabbu for fear of the adverse consequences of acting against it. Not only that
2:286 Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity. For it is the good it has earned, and for it is the evil it has earned! (O believers! Pray:) “Our Rabbu! Do not blame us if we have forgotten or if we have erred! Our Rabbu! Do not burden us with a burden like that which You burdened those before us! Our Rabbu! Do not burden us with a burden beyond our capacity (to bear). Remove from us our sins! Forgive us! Have mercy on us! You are our Protector, and help us against the disbelieving people!"
1. The command to act according to the guidance of Rabbu is not to cause difficulty to anyone. There is no need for that.
2. Rather, it is to increase in you the virtues and abilities.
3. So those who act according to it will benefit. Those who abandon it and engage in evil deeds will be punished for their evil deeds.
4. Having learned these truths; believers will pray to Rabbu not to cause much harm for the mistakes made by them.
5. They will pray to Rabbu to make their efforts of social reforms easy for them and not to face the difficulties of the previous communities
6. They will pray to eliminate the evil habits among them.
7. They will pray to be protected from the evil consequences of previous evil deeds.
8. They will pray to be showered with mercy on them in this way.
9. They will also pray to be protected from the troubles caused by the disbelievers.
2:200. They say, "Our Rabbu! Give us (everything) in this world." Such people will have no merit in the Hereafter.
2:201. And among them are some who say, "Our Rabbu! Give us excellent facilities in this world and in the life Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire."
2:202. Thus, for them will be their share of what they have earned, and Allah is swift in reckoning.
1. There are many people who live only for temporary pleasures (this world). They will not have the lasting pleasures in future. Their future will be painful.
2. And some of them will act considering the good of this world فِى ٱلدُّنۡيَا حَسَنَةً۬ and the good of the sustainable future وَفِى ٱلۡأَخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً۬ They will also pray accordingly.
3. Those who live their lives thus considering these two parts of life will pray to protect from the actions that will cause them pain.
4. So, whoever acts on the basis of only temporary pleasure or present and sustainable future will have his/her own rewards. This is the guidance of Rabbu for their prayer.
5. Thus, Allah is very quick in calculating activities of everyone. That is, the consequences will occur quickly according to the actions of each person. But it will take some time for them to appear according to the severity of the efforts – good or bad.
31The prayer for repentance.
7:23 They said: “Our Rabbu! We have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we will surely be among the losers.”
1. Our Rabbu! We have wronged ourselves and have not been guided. We ourselves were involved in evil acts.
2. Had You not guided us and shown us a way to safety; we would have surely been among the losers.
3. That is, we pledge to Allah that we will not do wrong against ourselves, because of Your guidance.
32Prayer against those who mislead
33:66. On the Day when their faces will be turned over in the Fire, they will say, “O our Rabbu! We should have obeyed Allah and this Messenger!”
33:67. And they will say, “Our Rabbu! We obeyed our leaders and our great ones, but they led us astray from the way.”
33:68. “Our Rabbu! Give them double the punishment, and curse them with a great curse.” (Anbar).
1. When the consequences of their evil deeds come into force that is when their faces are turned over in the hellish fire after death, they will cry out to Allah in anguish and pray.
2. “Woe to us! We should have acted according to the guidance of Allah!
3. We should have followed the legal provisions established by the Messenger of Allah!”
4. “We left all this and followed our leaders and elders!”
5. “They have misled us!” they will cry out.
6. They will also pray, “O, Our Rabbu! Give such leaders and elders double the punishment.”
7. In addition, they will pray, “Make them lose all their privileges so that they will suffer a severe punishment!”
If every inhabitant of Hell prays in this way, what will happen to those leaders and priests who misguided. At least now they should preach Allah's guidance. One has to consider about this situation that will inevitably happen to them otherwise.
33The supplication of Reformist Nooh Nabi
23:26. He said, “O, My Rabbu, help me against what they have denied.”
23:27. He said, “Build the ship under Our supervision as We reveal it to you! Then when Our command comes and the flood comes, take in each pair a male and a female, and whoever of your family, take Us (others) with you,
1. Reformist Nooh Nabi continued to convey the guidance to the people. He spoke to them openly and privately. (71:8-9)
2. But most of them did not accept the guidance. And they sought to plot against him. (70:22) So he prayed to Rabbu to save him.
3. In response, Rabbu commanded him to build an ark under His supervision.
4. After the construction of the ark, He commanded him to take pairs of birds and cattle into it.
5. Those who did not believe joked. He commanded them to take others into it besides them.
Did you notice? When Nooh Nabi prayed to Rabbu to save him, fearing that his life would be in danger from the disbelievers, He did not save him directly, but told him to build an ark. That is, man should take the protective action. This is the prayer and the answer of Allah.
34The prayer of Reformist Moosa Nabi for protection
10:86 “(Our Rabbu!) Save us by Your mercy from the disbelieving people! (And they prayed.
10:87 And We inspired Moosa and his brother, saying, "Take for houses of your people in Egypt, and make your houses as places of Salath, and establish regular prayer therein, and give good tidings to the believers."
2. Allah instructs them to arrange to build houses in the city for their followers.
3. Not only that, it is also advised to make such houses training centres.
4. It is also advised to establish a system of Salath that teaches virtue and teaches about community service.
5. It is also said that if such good deeds are done, ways will open up for them to escape from the troubles of the disbelievers and to obtain better facilities.
When the Reformist Moosa Nabi prayed to Allah to protect them from the disbelievers, He tells them the ways to escape from the difficulties that befell them.
35Reformist Easa Nabi's prayer for food
5:114. Easa, son of Mary, said, “O Allah! Send down to us a sourcefrom the sky, that it may be a feast for us, for the first of us and for the last of us, and a sign from You, and provide for us, and You are the Best of providers.”
5:115. Allah said, "I will surely send it down to you, but whoever disbelieves after that, I will punish him with a punishment such as I have not punished anyone among the worlds."
1. Reformist Easa Nabi prays to Rabbu to send down treasure of food from the sky for them.
2. The treasure of food refers to livelihood and financial facilities. That is, he prayed for them to have generous livelihood facilities.
3. He also prays that they will be a source of sustenance for the present and the future generations.
4. That is, he prayed that these would be signs for those who were the first to accept Allah’s Guidance and for those who later came and join after knowing the benefits of Guidance system.
5. the word ‘ma’ayidha’ مَآىِدَةً Refers to the generous livelihood facilities for them.
6. Similarly, Rabbu announces that He will provide food according to his request.
7. They are also warned that if they act contrary to the guidance of Allah after receiving generous opportunities, they will face the worst consequences.
Did you notice? Notice that those who, after receiving generous facilities from Rabbu, think that they belong to them alone and accumulate wealth are warned that their end will be very, very bad. Therefore, if we pray with mere words and act contrary to the guidance of Allah, our situation will also become worse.
36Rejected Duas of Reformists
10:88. And: “Our Rabbu! Indeed, You have given Fira’un and his chiefs adornment and the wealth of this worldly life. Our Rabbu! They stray from Your path. Our Rabbu! Destroy their wealth and harden their hearts. They will not believe until they see the painful punishment,
10:89. Allah said: “Your prayer has been answered, so stand firm and do not follow the path of those who do not know.”
1. When Reformist Moosa (Nabi) prayed to Allah that Fira’un and his chiefs have been given excessive living facilities. So, they mislead the people from Your guidance.
2. So, he prayed to Allah to destroy their wealth and put them in difficulty.
3. He prayed that they would not repent until they saw the painful punishment.
4. Rabbu answers his prayer
5. And the answer comes from Rabbu that it is not right to ask to destroy their wealth and put them in difficulty, instead of acting firmly according to the guidance shown by Rabbu and ,
6. So, knowing this truth, do not speak like those who speak in ignorance. Because Rabbu does not act unilaterally.
2:126. (Remember more:) Ibrahim: “O Rabbu! Make this city a safe place. "O Allah! Provide for those of its inhabitants who believe in You and the Last Day with all kinds of fruits." He said, "And whoever does not believe, I will give him a taste of pleasure, then I will force him into the torment of the Fire - and evil is his destination."
Did you notice? Reformist Ibrahim prays to provide generous facilities only for those who believe in Allah and the Last Day. But Allah announces that He will provide livelihood facilities also to those who do not believe in the Hereafter. Because Allah's law does not operate unilaterally with discrimination. It is clear from this that Allah does not change His plan for anyone.
That is, those who believe in the future sustainable benefits and act will have temporary happiness and future lasting happiness. Those who do not believe in the Hereafter will only have temporary happiness. The future permanent life will become painful.
2:124. He said, "I will make you a leader over the people." Abraham said, "Will you make leaders among my descendants?" He said, "My promise will not be to the wrongdoers."
1. When Reformist Ibrahim Nabi preached the Guidance of Allah to his father, his people, and the king, he faced many obstacles and hardships. All the trials that befell him were lessons for him. Thus, he became a great leader among the people of the world.
2. Seeing this, Abraham prayed to Allah to make him a leader among his descendants also.
3. But Allah replied, "Only those who act with high ideals like you will get that title “Leader”. The wrongdoers will not get it."
4. That is, being the heir of a Reformist, distinction will not be given. Only by acting according to the guidance of Allah can one attain exaltation and dignity.
11:45 And Reformist Nooh Nabi said to his Rabbu, "O, My Rabbu! Indeed, my son is of my family, and Your promise is true, and You are the best of judges."
He said, "O Noah, indeed he is not of your family. Indeed, he has done evil deeds. So, ask not of that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, I advise you that you will not be of the ignorant."
1. Reformist Nooh Nabi prayed to Rabbu to save his son from being swept away in the flood. Because Rabbu had promised to save his family.
2. This prayer was rejected. Because Noah's son was immoral, it is declared that he was not from his family.
3. Knowing this fact, it is clear that praying with the affection of father and son will not yield any benefit.
37Prayer for forgiveness
42:25. He it is Who accepts repentance from His servants and forgives their sins, and He knows what all you do.
42:26. And He answers those who believe and do righteous deeds and increases them out of His grace, and for the disbelievers is a severe punishment.
1. Allah forgives sins committed in ignorance. (See 4:17)
2. He will protect them from the consequences of their evil deeds. What all you do is not hidden from Him.
3. But you must accept Allah's guidance. That is, you must believe in the path He has shown.
4. It is not enough to believe. You should also do good deeds. That is, you should work to alleviate the suffering of the poor and devote your surplus wealth to it.
5. If you do nothing like this and just make dua with your lips and think that Allah will do everything, then it is your wrong objection. That is why the Quran says:
66:8. O you who believe, repent to Allah in wholeheartedly. It may be that your Rabbu will remove from you your evils and admit you to Paradise.
Have you noticed? It is said that your repentance should be sincere. That is, your repentance must be accompanied by thoughts and efforts that are consistent with it. Only then will your bad habits be removed and a path to a peaceful life be opened.
If good thoughts and efforts alone are enough, some may think that what is the purpose of Dua and prayer? Please be informed that all human efforts can be done by using Allah’s creations first. If there is only effort without Dua, the connection that should be with Allah will be severed. After that, you will refuse to accept Allah’s guidance and start acting in the way that your heart desires. In this way, you will go back to your old way of life.
So, mere Dua is not enough. Thoughts, wisdom and efforts are also necessary. Only then will your present and the hereafter be successful. If there is only thought, knowledge, and hard work without Dua, then everything will go astray. Present world is a testimony for this.
