1Introduction;
The Quran declare that it is a message of guidance for all of humanity. (Ref - 5:101, 6:90, 38:87, and 68:52) Guidance, by definition, must be beneficial to people across the globe and must be articulated in a manner that allows for practical implementation in the real world. If, instead, the Scripture resembled a collection of magical tales or incantations, it would not remain applicable across all eras. Therefore, it is essential that the guidance contained in the Scripture be of practical benefit to all people.
However, the sentence structures within the Quran fall into two categories: (1) sentences that convey a direct, literal meaning; and (2) sentences that employ literary nuance to convey meanings that may be interpreted in various, but related, ways.
When addressing laws regarding family life, the Quran speaks in direct, literal terms—meaning the words used are intended to be understood according to their plain, literal definitions. Conversely, when discussing general worldly affairs and political matters, it employs literary nuance to convey multiple layers of meaning (see 3:7). Arabic scholars are well aware of this distinction. Yet, despite this knowledge, some have attributed literal meanings to words intended to carry literary nuance, effectively transforming the Quran into a work of imaginative fiction. We are writing this book to provide a proper explanation and clarification of this matter.
2Easa Nabi corrected the Israelites
3:49. Reformist Easa Nabi, who came as a messenger to the community of Israel, said, "I have indeed come to you with a sign from your Rabbu: I will fashion for you the likeness of a bird out of clay and breathe into it, and by Allah's command, it will gain the power to fly. I will heal the blind and those afflicted with severe ailments, and—by Allah's guidance—I will bring the dead back to life. I will also tell you what you eat and what you store in your homes. If you are believers, there is certainly a clear proof for you in all this."
1. Reformist Easa Nabi was the final messenger sent to the community of Israel.
2. He would declare that he has brought glad tidings from Rabbu to transform his people—who are living like corps —into a vibrant, living community.
3. Furthermore, he will tell the people, "I will pave the way for all of you to be revitalized through Allah's guidance."
4. "I will nurture your thoughts and potentials—currently buried like mere clay—according to divine guidance, and elevate you to great heights, like free birds soaring in the sky."
5. "I will enrich your lives through your good deeds."
6. He will also say, "You live as though blind, despite having eyes; consequently, society has become corrupted, much like a loathsome case of leprosy."
7. "Therefore, through divine guidance, I will lead you all into the light of the righteous path."
8. In short, he would say, "Your evil deeds are dragging you toward the death of a degraded existence; I will rescue you from that state and restore you to new life."
9. "I will speak to you about those who engage in illegal hoarding and the resulting corruption within society."
10. He would say, "And if you accept and follow Allah's guidance, you will certainly realize that you will receive many benefits."
All the details mentioned above pertain to the message conveyed to Maryam (Alyhi), the mother of Reformist Easa Nabi, regarding the child who would be born to her and the instruction to embrace family life. Reformist Easa Nabi also labored in this very manner.
Dear friends! Please observe the difference between a literal translation and an explanatory interpretation. In a literal translation, it might appear as though Reformist Easa Nai performed magic tricks—turning things into birds, reviving the dead, or curing the blind—whereas we have provided an explanation based on the rational way that these were methods accomplished by the Reformists. You may decide for yourselves which interpretation is correct. For further details, please read the book we have authored on the life of Reformist Easa Nabi.
3Dhawood (Nabi) and the 99 goats
This is another story that is frequently discussed. Some have written—in a highly derogatory manner, citing the *Shaan-e-Nuzul* (context of revelation)—that Reformist Dhawoodh Nabi possessed 99 wives and, desiring the wife of his guard, intended to make her his 100th wife, at which point this dispute arose. We clarify the actual facts of the matter as follows. You may decide for yourselves which version is correct.
38:21. Has the history of the litigants reached you? They climbed over the wall of the *Mihrab* (the private chamber Dhawood Nabi had set up for rest)—
Explanation: Two men suddenly climbed over the wall and entered Dhawood Nabi’s quarters without any prior notice. Do you know the nature of the matter that unfolded there?
38:22. When they entered upon Dhawood Nabi, he was startled by them. They said, “Do not fear! We are two litigants; one of us has wronged the other. Judge between us with justice, do not deviate (from fairness), and guide us to the straight path.”
Explanation: Reformist Dhawood Nabi felt a sense of alarm upon seeing them. They then said, “Do not be afraid. An injustice has occurred between us. We believe we will receive true justice from you; therefore, we trust you will not err in your judgment. You must also guide us on the right course of action.”
38:23. "Indeed, this is my brother; he has ninety-nine goats, while I have only one goat. He asked me to hand it over to him and overpowered me in the argument."
Explanation: While explaining the facts of the matter, one of the two stated, "He is my own brother. He possesses ninety-nine goats, whereas I have only one. He insisted that I hand it over to him. When the matter is presented to people for judgment, they supported him. Thus, he has prevailed over me in the argument."
38:24. He said, "He has certainly wronged you by asking to add your goat to his goats. Indeed, many partners wrong one another, except those who believe and do righteous deeds—and few are they." And Dhawood Nabi realized that We had tested him, so he sought forgiveness from his Rabbu, fell down bowing in repentance, and turned [to Him].
1. Upon hearing this, Reformist Dhawood Nabi said, "His request to add your goat to his own is an act of injustice.
2. This is a wrong deal with you; indeed, the majority of partners act unjustly in this manner.
3. Those who accept and follow Allah's guidance do not act this way.
4. There are very few who act righteously avoiding such injustice," and he delivered a just verdict.
5. However, he perceived an underlying truth in this case.
6. Viewing this matter as a divine message, he proceeded to implement reforms in the country to address the issue.
7. Thus, even while serving as king, he remained mindful of divine guidance and acted in accordance with it.
In other words,Reformit Dhawood Nabi reflected deeply on the case. He realized that the issue extended beyond the immediate litigants involved in the dispute over the goat. He recognized that fraud was occurring throughout the country and that people were acting in favor of the wealthy while working against the poor and downtrodden. It was a failure on his part—despite being the king—not to have taken note of this unjustice earlier; the case of the sheep served to bring this reality to his attention.
While Reformist Dhawood Nabi prepared armies to defend against foreign threats (27:17), a shortcoming in his administration was the failure to take measures to curb the troublemakers operating within the country. Consequently, he undertook appropriate actions to safeguard the welfare of the public. We, too, must take this into account today.
38:25. So We forgave him for that (error). Indeed, he holds a position of nearness to Us and a beautiful place of return.
Explanation: Likewise, Our assistance and support accompanied the security and relief measures he undertook. Thus, in recognition of the excellent service he rendered, We granted him high status and a beautiful abode.
38:26. (We said to him:) “O David! Indeed, We have made you a ruler on the earth; so judge between people with justice. And do not follow [your] desire, for it will lead you astray from the path of Allah. Indeed, those who go astray from the path of Allah will face a severe punishment for having forgotten the Day of Reckoning.”
1. From the Rabbu: “O Dhawood! We have indeed granted you the opportunity to rule the country.
2. Therefore, ensure that fair judgments are delivered among the people; rule in this just manner.
3. Furthermore, never act in compliance with the whims of the people, for they act in submission to their own desires.
4. Doing so would divert you from the path of Allah.
5. Warn the people that those who act against this rule of Allah will face appropriate punishment.
6. "Let them bear in mind that there is severe punishment for those who, despite this, engage in unjust acts."
7. He was given the Scripture known as the *Zabur* (Psalms), which contained such commandments. (See 17:55)
Dear intellectuals! Please tell us: was it right to divert the focus from the legal dispute—which had arisen to address shortcomings in Reformist Dhawood Nabi’s administration—and instead inject the issue of his wives into the interpretation?
4The Kingdom of Sulaiman Nabi
After the passing of Reformsit Sulaiman Nabi the responsibility of governance fell to his son, Rehoboam. However, unlike his father and grandfather, he was good-for-nothing, useless individual. (See 38:34) Consequently, the golden era of Reformsit Sulaiman Nabi’s kingdom began to decline. Observe how verse 34:14, which speaks of this, has been confused through various direct word to word translations.
34:14. When We decreed death upon him (Sulaiman), nothing indicated his death to them except the earth-creature (termite) that was gnawing at his staff (upon which he was leaning)... Nothing else was revealed to the Jinn; when he fell, it became clear to them that "had they possessed knowledge of the Unseen, they would not have remained in the humiliating torment of arduous labor."
1. After the passing of Reformist Solomon (Saulaiman Nabi), those who assumed the reins of power failed to uphold the excellence of the magnificent and orderly administration he had established.
2. Consequently, the renown of his reign began to erode.
3. For a long time, the guards belonging to the tribal community—who were responsible for the fortress's security—remained unaware of the injustices and atrocities occurring within.
4. The misdeeds committed by those rulers began to inflict damage upon the country.
5. Thus, the once-glorious empire of Reformist Sulaiman Nabi completely collapsed.
6. It was only then that the tribal guards learned of the events transpiring inside the fortress.
7. Filled with deep regret, they lamented, "Had we known about these events earlier, our arduous efforts in guarding the fortress would not have gone to waste.
8. We would not have been subjected to such humiliation and anguish."
Such is the history of the glory of Reformist Sulaiman’s reign and the reasons for its downfall. There is another point to consider: it is said that the "Jinns" were unaware of the affairs within the seat of power—meaning they possessed no knowledge of hidden matters. Yet, look at the sorcerers in our own land; they claim to subdue Jinns and perform magical feats to resolve people's grievances, all while deceiving the common folk to make a living. Reflect for yourself on whether there is any truth to this. That is precisely why we interpret the term "Jinn" to refer to hill-side people, *Adivasis*, or tribal communities. Please also consider the explanation and translation we have provided. Decide for yourselves what is correct.
5Was Ibrahim Nabi thrown into a fire pit?
The people of the town were enraged after Reformist Ibrahim Nabi took certain actions opposing idol worship. The Quran describes this incident as follows:
قَالُواْ حَرِّقُوهُ وَٱنصُرُوٓاْ ءَالِهَتَكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ فَٰعِلِينَ٦٨
21:68 (In response to this,) they said, "If you intend to do anything (to him), burn him (in the fire) and (thereby) help your gods."
Explanation: "If you intend to do anything to him, throw him into a fire pit and burn him. In this way, help your gods," they began to say furiously.
Dear intellectuals! Did you notice how, instead of the gods helping humans, the people were being urged to help those gods? This is the true state of those imaginary deities. The "Spark of rage” among them kept intensifying. Realizing that his life would be in danger if he remained there, he migrated from that land to the land of Palestine (see 37:98). Consequently, the people's "fire" of anger subsided.
21:69. (As soon as Ibrahim was thrown into the fire pit,) We said, "O fire!, become cool and a source of comfort for Abraham!"
Explanation: Thus, the raging "fire" that had been kindled against Abraham subsided in accordance with Rabbu's decree. The place to which he migrated (Palestine) also proved to be cool and comfortable for him.
21:70. They sought to plot against him, but We made them the great losers!
Explanation: They intended to plot to eliminate him. However, since he migrated away, all their plots proved futile. (See also 29:26)
In other words, he was not actually cast into the fire; this indicates that they merely hatched a plot, but they did not succeed.
21:71. And We saved him (and his nephew Looth Nabi) and brought them to the land which We had blessed for all the worlds, granting them deliverance.
Explanation: Thus, We rescued him and his nephew Looth Nabi from that great peril and paved the way for them to travel to the land of Palestine—a region distinguished by its abundant resources and blessings for all. Furthermore, had he truly emerged unscathed after being cast into a fire, the people would have witnessed that miraculous spectacle and fallen at his feet in submission. Yet, no such thing occurred; it is said that only his cousin, the Reformist Looth Nabi, believed.
Therefore, the reality is that the " spark of rage" among the people was what Allah extinguished (see 37:91-100 & 29:23-26)—not a literal fire created by Allah. For the Quranic verses 17:78, 30:30, 33:38, 33:62, and 48:23 declare that you will never find any alteration in Allah’s *Sunnah* (His established rules or practices). It further declares this regarding Allah’s *Kalima* (Word/Decree)—stating that you will not find any change in His *Kalima* (see 10:33, 17:27, 40:6). Thus, to claim that Allah altered the nature of fire just once for a single Nabi is to transform actual history into a work of imaginative fiction.
6The Facts about Moosa Nabi’s staff
This, too, is a significant matter. Regarding Reformist Moosa Nabi performing the miracle and striking awe into Fira’un... They take pride in narrating this in their speeches, but we are bringing the actual truth to enlighten you.
20:56. We showed the king, Fira’un all of Our signs, but he denied them and refused to believe.
Explanation: Even though evidence-based guidance was conveyed to the king, Fira’un through the Reformist Moosa Nabi, he rejected it all as mere vain talks and refused to accept it.
20:57. He said, “O Moosa! Have you come to us to drive us out of our country with your sorcery?”
Can anyone drive a king out of his country using sorcery? Can you justify such translations?
Explanation: Instead, he raised Reformist Moosa Nabi with agitation and from various perspectives, “Have you come to us to drive us out of the land by using your attractive speech to propagate a false religion?”
20:58. “In that case, we will certainly produce and show you magic just like it; so, let us fix a date between us and you—at a suitable venue where everyone can come and witness it—which neither we nor you can alter.”
Going through this passage, it appears as though a competition was being arranged between magicians. It is evident that an attempt has been made to divert the reader's attention.
Explanation: “In that case, we too will summon our priests and give you a fitting response. Therefore, fix a date for this contest. Let us enter into an agreement that neither of us will alter. So, specify a day when the people can gather in large numbers.”
20:59. He said, "Let the appointed time for us be the Day of Adornment (the festival day), and let the people be gathered together in the forenoon."
Explanation: Reformist Moosa Nabi designated the festival day—when everyone gathers in large numbers, dressed in their finest attire—as the time for this contest. The forenoon of that day was also fixed for the event.
20:60. So the king Fira’un turned away, gathered his strategists (magicians/priests), and returned.
Explanation: Accordingly, the king Fira’un issued an order summoning the skilled religious scholars of the country (see 7:111). They all arrived on the appointed day, and Fira’un gathered them all and came to the site of the contest.
20:61. Reformist Moosa said to them, “Woe to you! Do not fabricate a lie against Allah, lest He destroy you with a punishment; for indeed, whoever fabricates a lie has failed." He said, "(If you do so,) He will destroy you with punishment; indeed, whoever fabricates a lie has surely met with ruin.”
Explanation: Before the contest took place, Reformist Moosa Nabi met the priests and warned them, "Do not fabricate lies against Allah. Bear in mind that destruction awaits those who do so. Otherwise, in accordance with Allah's law, you will face severe punishment. Any community that propagated false, fabricated tales about Allah has invariably met with destruction."
20:62. The priests debated among themselves regarding their course of action and kept their deliberations secret.
Explanation: Following this, the priests gathered and consulted one another on how they should proceed. Only then did they prepare for the confrontation.
20:63. (The priests said to the people:) "Indeed, these two are sorcerers! "These two desire only to drive you out of your land with their sorcery and to eliminate your excellent way of life."
Did you notice? Here too, the term 'sorcery' has been used. Can people really be driven out of a country using sorcery? It is astonishing! Pay attention to the explanation.
Explanation: Then, the priests addressed the gathered crowds, saying, "Indeed, these two seek to deceive you all with their eloquent and captivating speech. Through such rhetoric, they aim to drive you out of your country and destroy your superior way of life."
20:64. “Therefore, consolidate your plans and come forward in ranks; whoever prevails today will certainly be the victor.”
Explanation: Subsequently, the priests consulted with each other who had come for the debate and said, "Today, set aside all differences and animosities; stand united as one force and prepare to defeat these men who are enemies to us all." They proclaimed, "Whoever gains the upper hand in today's contest shall be the victor."
20:65. They asked, "O Moosa! Will you cast [first], or shall we be the first to cast?"
This is where the act of "casting"of sticks and ropes begins. This is a completely incorrect translation. Observe the actual truth.
Explanation: Then, to initiate the contest, they asked Reformist Moosa Nabo, "Will you begin the contest first, or shall we begin first?"
20:66. He replied, "Nay! You cast [first]." (When they cast,) their ropes and their sticks appeared to him—due to their sorcery—as though they were slithering about.
Dear intellectuals! Did you notice? They have interpreted it to mean that the ropes and sticks held by the priests were transformed into snakes through sorcery. Observe what the religious leaders are recorded to have done in the presence of Reformist Moosa Nabi and his brother Reformist Haroon Nabi, who had come to convey guidance truths to Fira’un and his courtiers and guide them to the right path. (See 7:103-105)
It is truly astonishing how a contest of guidance arguments was diverted into a competition of snake-charming! Consider the explanation for this as well.
Explanation: To this, he said, “Not so. You present your argument first.” Following that, they... One by one, presented the religious doctrines they held. Using their eloquence, they argued as though there were truth in them. It appeared to Reformist Moosa Nabi that these arguments might captivate the people.
20:67. Then, Moosa was afraid in his heart.
Explanation: So Reformist Moosa Nabi also got some fear in his heart. (See also 7:116)
20:68. "Fear not (O Moosa!) You will surely prevail!" We said that.
Explanation: Then, a consoling message came from Rabbu saying, "Moosa! Do not be afraid. Surely the guiance matters that you submit will prevail."
20:69. “Yet you will throw down what is in your right hand, and it will swallow up all that they have done (speech), and what they have done is the trickery of liars, so the sorcerer will not succeed wherever he goes.”
What is this? It is inappropriate if religious priests practice sorcery. Is it worth doing by the reformists? Won't they win? Is this the Veda? Does the Qur'an, the world's guidance, contradict itself like this? Why should the Ulama have given such a translation? Consider what this term means.
Explanation: Rabbu encouraged Moosa Nabi, “Present before them the Guidance truths that are in your possession. You will overcome all the religous matters presented by them and you will be superior. Because all the things they have presented are mere conjectures. You will present the divine guidance in such a way that it will flash in their minds as evidence. They will never be able to defeat you.” (see also 7:117-118).
As he explained the Guidance truths of Rabbu before them, the status of their religious teachings became valuseless. Reformist Moosa Nabi succeeded by expounding Guidance truths.
20:70. (When Moosa was victorious) the clerics prostrated themselves and said, "We believe in Rabbu of Moosa and Haroon.
Explanation: All the clerics who heard his Guidance truths bowed down to Reformist Moosa Nabi and openly declared that they accepted his guidance. They declared, “We accept the guidance of Rabbu from Haroon and Moosa.”
Also note the reaction from Fira’un's to that.
20:71. "Did you believe in him before I permitted you? Verily he (seems) to be a leader who taught you sorcery. So I will chaff your hand and another foot, and hang you in the trees, and surely you will know who among us is severe in punishment and who is steadfast in it," (Fira’un) said.
Please note one thing here. What does witchcraft have to do with faith? Why should you get so obsessed with it? Consider its description.
Explanation: Observing this, Fira’un became furious. He shouted in anger, “Have you all accepted his guidance without waiting for any permission from me? Surely, I think he is expertise in captivating speeches. If you do not come my way, I will chaff your arm and leg and leave you hanging on the tree. Then you will realize who is stronger in punishing in this way whether it is me or the Rabbu of Moosa.”
20:72. They (repentantly) said to Fira’un, "We will not take you above our Creator, above the clear proofs that have come to us, so judge what you are meant to judge, and what you judge is only in this worldly life."
Did you notice? They speak of a "clear proof" that came to them. Was that proof merely the act of casting down a staff—turning it into a serpent—to swallow up their serpents? How unjust is this translation? Read the explanation.
Explanation: Those religious leaders replied, “We will not regard you as superior to the One who created us, nor will we prioritize you over the clear proofs that have come to us from our Creator. Therefore, execute whatever judgment you intend to carry out. Know that your judgment applies only to this present life.”
We have learned through the Reformist Moosa Nabi that you will receive no share of blessings in the sustainable future.
20:73. “Indeed, we have believed in our Rabbu so that He may forgive us our sins and the magic you compelled us to perform; and Allah is the Best and the Everlasting.”
Did you notice? Could those religious leaders have grasped these Guidance truths simply by witnessing a staff being cast down and transformed into a serpent? That is precisely why we boldly declare that the event which took place before the people was a contest between Guidance and religious theologists. It involved absolutely no sleight-of-hand or magic tricks.
Explanation: Furthermore, they said to Fira’un with great humility, “We have accepted the clear guidance that has come from our Rabbu. We seek refuge in our Rabbu alone to be delivered from the harmful consequences of the false religious teachings we previously propagated. Through the Reformist Moosa Nabi, we have come to realize that Allah’s guidance and His way are indeed supreme.”
20:74. Indeed, whoever comes to his Rabbu as a criminal, for him is Hell; therein he will neither die nor live.
Explanation: They further said to Fira’un, “We have learned through the Reformist Moosa Nabi that whoever comes to the Rabbu as a criminal, Hell certainly awaits him—a place where he will neither die nor live.”
20:75. But whoever comes to Him as a believer, having performed righteous deeds—for them are the highest ranks.
Explanation: Furthermore, they stated, “Communities that accept divine guidance and work towards formulating and implementing constructive social welfare programs are guaranteed honor and dignity.”
20:76. (For such a person) there are Gardens of Eternity beneath which rivers flow; therein they shall dwell forever. This is the reward for those who have purified themselves (cleansed of sins).
Explanation: They explained to Fira’un—disregarding the punishment he had threatened—that “as long as they continue to function in such an exemplary manner, they will enjoy a secure and blissful life akin to Paradise. There, they will flourish as a community blessed with abundant prosperity commensurate with their efforts. We have learned through the Reformist Moosa Nabi that this is the reward awaiting for communities that act with selfless, pure intentions.”
Dear intellectuals! Did you observe how the Reformist Moosa Nabi expounded the truths of the faith to those priests and led them to accept Allah? Could these spiritual truths have been demonstrated merely by casting down a staff and turning it into a serpent? Consider the contrast between the reward they initially sought from Fira’un before the contest (see 7:113-114) and the unshakable faith in Allah they possessed after the contest. This is a matter that requires careful reflection!
As we have previously stated, the Quran addresses global affairs and political matters with literary elegance. Interpreting these verses literally transforms history into a work of imaginative fiction. It is precisely this approach that we identify as treating the Quran as *Mahjoora* (tied with imaginary rituals) [as mentioned in 25:30].
7Was Nooh Nabi’s lifespan 950 years?
Dear intellectuals! The average human lifespan ranges from 60 to 70 years. Some individuals may live up to a maximum of 100 or 110 years. However, Guidance scholars claim that the Reformist Nooh Nabi (Noah) lived for 950 years, considering this as a miracle. Yet, we observe that this contradicts the natural laws ordained by Allah. Furthermore, fabricated tales suggest that the Reformist Adam lived for 2,000 years and the Reformist Ibrahim (Abraham) for 1,500 years. Let us examine what the Holy Quran actually states.
29:14. And indeed, We sent Nooh to his people; he remained among them for a thousand years less fifty; then the flood overtook them while they were wrongdoers.
Note a crucial point here: the text states that the Reformist Nooh Nabi “remained” among that community for 950 years; it does not say he *lived* (was physically alive) for that entire duration. Thus, it implies that the principles and doctrines he introduced endured for that long period. The people eventually abandoned his guidance later completely.
Following the era of the Reformist Nooh Nabi, an empire established itself under the name of the 'Aadhu' Dynasty. The Reformist Hoodh was sent to reform them. (7:65) Verse 7:69 confirms that they held authority after the community of Reformist Nooh (Noah). Therefore, the explanation of this passage is as follows:
Explanation: Following that, the teachings of Reformist Nooh remained alive among the people of that regions for nine hundred and fifty years (i.e., Nooh’s era spanned 950 years). In later times, they emerged as the "Aadhu" empire (7:69). They turned into wrongdoers. Ultimately, they met their destruction, caught in a storm accompanied by a deafening roar (see 69:6 & 7).
Dear intellectuals! We, too, propagate the teachings of Reformist Muhammad Nabi (Sal) from time to time, just as if he were alive even today. In that sense, does it not imply that he remains alive with us even after 1,400 years? Moreover, the Quranic verse 33:40 declares him the "Final Reformist," signifying that he will remain alive [in his legacy and message] until the world exists.
8The Lifespan of the Companions of the Cave?
Just as with Reformist Nooh Nabi, fictitious stories are narrated about the "Companions of the Cave" (Ashab al-Kahf or Ashab al-Raqim) mentioned in the Quran. This is the history of the people who lived after 250 AD in the region of Bathras—in the western part of Iraq (present-day Jordan).
Right at the outset (18:9), the Quran dispels any notion that these Companions of the Cave were strange or freakish beings. It confirms that they were not the bizarre creatures just as popular talks that are spread.
When certain young men sought to eradicate the prevailing social ills by upholding Allah's guidance, they failed to garner public support in the initial stages (18:14–15). Consequently, when their life was in danger they sought to escape. They looked for a hiding place and eventually took refuge in a spacious cave (18:16). Its entrance was narrow, yet the interior space was well-equipped with all necessities of life (18:10).
Having taken refuge there, they engaged in training for self-defense. Later, they decided to come out of cave and to send one or two of their members out to assess the situation in the country (18:19). They were cautioned to be careful so as not to be recognized (18:20), implying that they had been away for only a few years.
However, as the state of the nation had deteriorated severely, the people were eagerly awaiting their return. Once the people understood the truth, they rallied behind them, fought against the ruling regime, achieved victory, and established an excellent administration. After their eventual passing away, a beautiful place of monument was erected in their memory (see 18:21).
As time passed, the heroic deeds and achievements of those "Companions of the Cave" faded from memory. People began squandering time debating their number—whether there were five, six, or seven of them. The instruction given was to declare that Allah knows their number and to avoid arguing with anyone about it (18:22). The reason is that their exact number is not what matters; rather, it is their achievements that are significant. Because these serve as valuable lessons and sources of benefit for the people.
Is that all? A debate regarding the exact duration of their stay in the cave is also spreading rapidly. Some claim it was 300 years, while others—asserting they have calculated it precisely—proudly claim it was 309 years (18:25). That is why the instruction is given to declare that Allah alone knows the exact duration of their stay (18:26).
Ultimately, the specific number of people or the exact duration of years is not what matters; rather, what is significant is their effort to bring about a revival in the country and their achievements. Therefore, the guidance is to ensure that any action taken or any matter discussed aligns with Allah’s *Mashiyyah* (His Will and Plan) (18:23 & 24).
9Was the *Hud-Hud* a bird?
27:20. He inspected the birds and said: "Why do I not see the *Hud-hud* here? Or has it become one of the absent ones?"
In ordinary language, the word *Thairan* simply means "bird." Even today, the term *Thairan* is used for airoplanes. However, the word *Thairan* is also applied to fast running horses; the reason being that, in those times, they were the fastest means of travel. Therefore, we have interpreted the word *Thairan* here as "cavalry," because they are of great assistance on the battlefield. Consider the explanation based on this interpretation:
Explanation: Once, Reformist Sulaiman Nabi (Saulaiman Nabi) was inspecting his cavalry and armies. Upon noticing the absence of "Hud-hud"—a member of the reconnaissance unit—he began inquiring about him. He became angry that the individual had been absent from duty for a prolonged period.
27:21. He said, "I will certainly punish it with a severe punishment, or I will surely slaughter it, unless it brings me clear proof [for its absence]."
In those days, it was customary for kings to organize and dispatch reconnaissance units to gather information about events in neighboring lands. Hud-hud was the leader of such an appointed reconnaissance unit. He submitted a report regarding the irregularities occurring in the land of Saba (Sheba).
Explanation: Furthermore, Reformist Sulaiman said, “He will face severe punishment under martial law for having vanished without a trace and without sending any report to the King. If he fails to provide valid proof for his absence from duty, he could even face the death penalty,” he said.
27:22. (After waiting) a short while, he (the Hud Hud) said: "I have discovered something you do not know. I have brought you certain news from Sheba."
Explanation: Upon hearing this, the commander known as the Hud Hudh hastened back to the King after a few days. He explained the reason for his long absence by informing to the King, "I have discovered something you do not know; it concerns the land of Sheba. All the information I am presenting is true."
27:23. "Indeed, I found a woman ruling over them; she has been given everything (necessary), and she possesses a magnificent throne."
Explanation: Hud Hud reported, “A woman is ruling over that country.” “The queen of that land rules a realm that is self-sufficient, possessing all manner of resources and amenities. Consequently, they need not rely on other nations to meet their needs; it is a truly mighty and powerful administration,”.
27:24. I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of Allah; Satan has made their (erroneous) deeds appear pleasing to them and has barred them from the right path, so they are not rightly guided.
Explanation: “However, that queen and her people have abandoned Allah’s guidance, adopted the sun as a deity, and worship it. Furthermore, all the wrong actions they commit appear appealing to them. Consequently, their own desires prevent them from finding the right path; thus, they remain unguided.”
In other words, because the nation’s government and its people do not follow divine guidance, they act according to their own whims. Although they may be living prosperously at present, in the future, corruption and inequality within their society will lead to their ruin. Moreover, their moral values are deteriorating. Thus, the queen is unaware of the truth that her nation is heading toward destruction.
27:25. Should they not prostrate and worship Allah—He who brings forth what is hidden in the heavens and the earth, and who knows what you conceal and what you reveal?
Explanation: “Should they not have acted in accordance with the guidance of Allah—the One Rabbu who created the galaxies and the earth and brings forth what is hidden within them according to need? Furthermore, even though it was explained to them that neither their secret deeds nor their open actions are hidden from Allah, they refused to accept this.”
27:26. Hud Hud further said, “Allah—there is no deity worthy of worship except Him; He is the Rabbu of the Mighty Throne" .
Explanation: "No authority or sovereignty prevails anywhere other than that of Allah, who created all the worlds, sustains them properly, and holds them under His control. Given this truth, is it right for them to regard the sun—one of Rabbu's creations—as a Rabbu and worship it?" he asked.
Thus, the Hud Hud, the leader of the intelligence unit, gathered all information about that land and submitted a report to Reformist Sulaiman Nabi. Consider all the matters mentioned above: could a mere bird perform so many tasks? Therefore, the correct interpretation is that the Hud Hud was the leader of an intelligence unit. Similarly, we refer to the Tamil fighters of Sri Lanka as "Liberation Tigers." Are they literally tigers? No, it is a term signifying valor. Likewise, this figure was a military commander capable of operating with tremendous speed.
10The Visit of the Queen of Sheba
The Queen of Sheba (known as Balquis in Arabic world) ruled the land of Sheba (modern-day Yemen) with great distinction. However, the kingdom was also plagued by social and moral decay. During that era (the 10th century BC), the renowned Israelite monarch Reformist Saulaiman Nabi (Sulaiman) reigned. It was customary at the time to deploy intelligence units to gather information about events in neighboring lands. Hud Hud was the leader of one such intelligence unit; he submitted a report detailing the irregularities occurring in the country of Sheba.
The intelligence chief observed that although Sheba was economically prosperous, it was rife with social corruption. He identified the root cause: the people had abandoned Allah's guidance, worshipped the sun as a deity, and acted entirely according to their own whims. Consequently, Reformist Saulaiman Nabi sent a message to the Queen, urging her to reform her ways. When she refused to accept this counsel, he planned to seize her throne to teach her a lesson.
Ultimately, he took control of her palace but instructed her to continue ruling the land. He also invited her to visit his kingdom.(Ref- 27:41&42)
27:44. She was told, "Enter the palace!" Upon seeing the floor, she mistook it for a pool of water and lifted her garments above her shins (to keep them from getting wet). Sulaiman said, "It is indeed a palace paved with smooth glass." She then said, "My Rabbu! I have indeed wronged myself; I submit—along with Sulaiman—to Allah, the Rabbu of the worlds."
Explanation: The Queen of Sheba was welcomed into a glass palace. Reformist Sulaiman had designed the entrance floor to resemble a pool of water. Mistaking it for water and becoming alarmed, she lifted her garments above her shins. Observing this, Reformist Sulaiman Nabi remarked, "It is a palace paved with smooth glass." Struck with awe, she declared, “O,My Rabbu! I have indeed wronged myself. I submit to Allah—the Rabbu of the worlds—and to Reformist Sulaiman Nabi."
Lesson: Just as she had mistakenly perceived the glass floor as a pool of water, Reformist Sulaiman Nabi helped the Queen realize that she had similarly been mistaken in worshipping the sun—one of Rabbu's creations—as Rabbu Himself. It was customary for a monarch to convey the truth to another ruler using such illustrative examples. Furthermore, this passage illustrates the extent of scientific advancement achieved nearly 3,000 years ago. Such a palace made of glass did not exist in the land of Sheba at that time; consequently, she was astonished upon seeing it. The Queen realized the potential for a prosperous and advanced life through scientific progress. She therefore declared her acceptance of Rabbu’s magnificent system of governance, understanding that divine guidance is essential not only for scientific advancement but also for upholding social and moral values.
However, Islamic scholars (*Alims*) interpreting the Quran have claimed that Bilqis, the Queen of Sheba, was not a human woman but a *Fairy* (a supernatural being)—specifically alleging that *Fairy’s* have legs that bend backwards. They wrote that the pool was constructed to verify this specific detail. Furthermore, the Bible states that Saulaiman Nabi married her. Thus, instead of adhering to the truth, people have woven fables to mislead others, effectively rendering the Quran *Mahjoora* (tied up with rituals—see 25:30). It is truly astonishing!
11Yunus Nabi inside the belly of a fish?
People often speak with great pride and delight about Reformist Yunus (Jonah) remaining inside the belly of a fish for 40 days, with scholars hailing it as a monumental miracle. Yet, we must consider whether it is actually possible for a person to survive inside a fish's belly. From a scientific perspective, it is impossible for a human to survive inside the airtight belly of a fish where temperatures reach approximately 120°C. The irony is that they have altered Quranic translations to align with these fabricated tales. Let us examine those verses.
37:139. And indeed, Yunus was among the Messengers.
37:140. When he fled to the fully laden ship—
37:141. They cast lots, and he was among the losers.
Explanation: Whenever and wherevr Reformists convey Guidance truths to the people, the majority of people do not accept them; opposition invariably intensifies against all Reformists. Consequently, if a situation arises where their lives are in danger, Reformists migrate to a more favorable location—a process known as *Hijrah*.
However, Reformist Yunus—who belonged to a fishing community—hastily attempted to leave his town. He boarded a boat to travel, but because he lacked a travel ticket, he was cast into the sea.
It is at this point that the fabricated tales of religious scholars begin.
37:142. Thus, he was cast (into the sea) in a state of disgrace; a fish swallowed him.
Explanation: As soon as he was cast into the sea, a fish seized him. The word *fal-taqamahu* is فَٱلۡتَقَمَهُ interpreted as "swallowed." What happens if a fish swallows someone? He would be digested and excreted as waste matter.
37:143. But had he not been among those who glorify Rabbu—performing *Tasbih*—
Explanation: However, contrary to the norm, it is claimed that Reformist Yunus was counting prayer beads (*Tasbih*) inside the fish's belly. Here, the term *Musabbihin* appears. *Sabaha* means to swim rapidly and reach the shore. This implies that as soon as the fish seized him, he freed himself, swam rapidly, and reached the shore. Had he not swum back like that, what would have happened to him?
37:144. He would have remained in its belly until the Day of Resurrection.
Explanation: He would have stayed inside the fish's belly and become its prey. Thereafter, he would never have been able to emerge. In other words, because he knew how to swim, he swam to the shore. However, religious scholars (*Alims*) tend to evade explaining things they do not understand by attributing them to the "Day of Resurrection." They provide such translations and then spin tall tales around them. We have provided the explanation. We request readers to reflect on the matter and accept what is correct.
12A Jouney to Meraj by Mohammed Nabi (Sal) ?
This is also a subject of significant discussion. Evidence for this is drawn directly from the Quran. It is important to understand what is meant by Reformist Muhammad’s journey of *Mi'raj*. The *Mi'raj* event refers to the occasion when Reformist Muhammad Nabi (sal)—accompanied by the angel Gabriel—traversed the heavens before dawn, reached the Throne (*Arsh*) of Allah, and met Allah. The verse from the Holy Quran cited in this regard is as follows:
17:1 Exalted is Allah. He took His servant on a journey by night from *Masjid al-Haram* to *Masjid al-Aqsa* (located in *Bayt al-Muqaddas*, far from the *Kaaba*). We have blessed the surroundings [of *Masjid al-Aqsa*] in order to show him Our signs. Indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.
Explanation: Allah took His servant (Reformist Muhammad) only from *Masjid al-Haram* to *Masjid al-Aqsa*. However, books of *Hadith* (narrations) abound with accounts of the journey that extended from there, across the heavens, all the way to the *Arsh* (Divine Throne). Furthermore, in the above mentioned translation, ellipses (...) have been inserted at various points. Specifically, *Masjid al-Aqsa* was described as a mosque situated near *Bait al-Muqaddas* (Jerusalem). In the twentieth century, some scholars argued that no such mosque existed during the time of Reformist Muhammad Nabi (Sal). Islamic scholars were unable to provide satisfactory proof to the contrary. Consequently, over time, the narrative shifted to equating *Masjid al-Aqsa* with *Bait al-Muqaddas* itself, and translations were adjusted to reflect this view.
Based on this interpretation, the *Mi'raj* (Ascension) event is proclaimed among Muslims as a monumental miracle. It is asserted that anyone who does not accept the *Mi'raj* event cannot be considered a Muslim. Who, then, would dare to debate the matter? If, despite this, someone points out that the text of verse 17:1 makes no mention of a journey traversing the heavens, they are met with the counter-question: "Are you refusing to accept what Reformist Muhammad Nabi (Sal) proclaimed?"
When asked why Allah—who revealed details about even minor matters in the Quran (such as in 24:27)—did not mention the journey across the heavens, the response given is that including such details would have made the Quran an excessively voluminous book.
Let us now examine what the Quran actually says regarding a journey that traverses the heavens.
55:33. "O community of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass! You cannot pass except by authority [or power]." (55:33)
When this verse is cited and the question is raised—"How could Reformist Muhammad Nabi (Sal) have ascended beyond the heavens without any rocket or aircraft?"—the standard reply given is, "If Allah wills it, is anything impossible?" They take pride in speaking with such imaginative flair, making contradictory claims devoid of any evidence. To make matters worse, they drag Allah into it; according to their logic, if "He wills it," He would simply make it happen that way.
Furthermore, if Allah intended to take His servant to the *Arsh* (Divine Throne), He could have taken him directly from the Kaaba. Why was it necessary to take him to *Baitul Muqaddas* (Jerusalem) first and then to the *Arsh* from there? Is there no path from the Kaaba to the *Arsh*? Or was Allah unable to take him from there? Will anyone answer this?
Moreover, to explain this event, they invented the story of a flying horse—naming it *Buraq*—and claimed that he rode it to make the journey. They even create and display images of it in their homes. Curiously, the horse is depicted with the face of a beautiful woman. Even here, they are unwilling to relinquish male dominance; they spin a tale about riding upon a woman. Very well. Let us also consider what else is said regarding the *Mi'raj* journey.
If one asks what Reformist Muhammad Nabi (sal) brought back to the world from the *Mi'raj*, the answer is the five times daily prayers, accompanied by a detailed explanation. It is said that Allah initially ordained fifty times daily prayers for His servants. While the Reformist was returning to the world, filled with immense joy and elation, he encountered Reformist Mooosa Nabi. Moosa Nabi asked what gift he was bringing back from Allah, and Muhammad Nabi replied that he was bringing the obligation of fifty times daily prayers. Moosa Nabi then advised him that his *Ummah* (community) would not be able to perform prayers so many times a day and suggested him to return to Allah to ask for a reduction.
Acting upon his advice... In accordance with this, when he went to Allah and made the request, Allah reduced the number of prayers. Upon learning this, Reformist Moosa Nabi advised Reformist Muhammad to go back and ask for a further reduction. He did so, and Allah waived 15 prayer times, setting the requirement at 10 prayers. Reformist Moosa Nabi, upon hearing this, sent him back once more to request a further reduction. When he went again, five more prayers were removed, and it was finalized that there would be five prayers.
Reformist Moosa, upon learning this, advised him to go back and seek a further reduction. However, Reformist Muhammad Nabi (sal) stated that he felt too shy to keep returning to Allah to ask for reductions. Subsequently, Reformist Muhammad Nabi (sal) announced that whoever properly performs the five daily prayers would receive the reward equivalent to fifty prayers. Books of narration (Hadith) state that this is the true history of how the prayer obligation was established.
Nowadays, some people—based on their own speculation—claim that Reformist Muhammad Nabi (sal) went to Allah ten times, while others say twenty times. No one could guess how this number might change in the future. When asked why Reformist Moosa Nabi would send him back so many times, these people speculate that it was because he could witness the *Jalwa* (Divine Light) of Allah during those visits.
Just think about it for a moment. It implies that neither Allah nor Reformist Muhammad knew the capacity of Reformist Muhammad Nabi’s *Ummah* (community) regarding how many prayers they could perform. Yet, in the era B.C. (Before Christ)... It is claimed that Reformist Moosa Nabi—who had died 2,800 years prior—possessed this knowledge. It is said that Reformist Muhammad Nabi (sal) repeatedly went back to Allah to ask for a reduction in the number of prayers. The narrative implies a lack of foresight on the part of both Allah and Reformist Muhammad Nabi; does anyone stop to reflect on this? Yet, every year during mosque sermons, people fabricate various stories about this and refresh them with pride.
If one accepts this narration as true, then Muslims must also accept that Reformist Moses is still alive in the fourth heaven. Regarding the status of Reformist Muhammad, Allah Himself declared in the Quran: *Innaka mayyithun*—"Indeed, you will die." Thus, Reformist Muhammad Nabi (sal) has passed away. However, Reformist Moosa—the God of the Jews—is said to be still alive. Jews take pride in this, citing this very narration as proof and claiming that Reformist Muhammad met him.
What is the meaning of verse 17:1?
Explanation of 17:1: Allah, the Almighty—whose power transcends all human imagination—arranged, according to His divine plan, for His servant to migrate overnight from Masjid al-Haram (Mecca) to the blessed Masjid al-Aqsa (located in distant Medina). This arrangement was made to implement a faith—which had previously existed only as a set of teachings—on the global stage and to demonstrate its rise and vitality to the world. These are the words of Allah, who possesses the supreme power to know all worldly events.
No one has any doubt that Masjid al-Haram refers to Mecca. However, when referring to *Masjid al-Aqsa*, it is also called *Bayt al-Muqaddas*; the word *Aqsa* itself signifies "distance" or "farthest." Medina, too, is known by various names such as *Zimnan*, *Yazrib*, *Madinah*, and *Aqsan*. The Holy Quran mentions the "Valley of Quswa" in verse 8:42, which also refers to Medina.
The matter concerning *Bayt al-Muqaddas* had already been concluded (2:142); Allah designated the Kaaba—rather than *Bayt al-Muqaddas*—as the central focal point (2:144). Yet, certain narrations (*riwayat*) suggest that Allah took Reformist Muhammad to *Bayt al-Muqaddas*. Here, the traces of a Jewish conspiracy are evident; the implication seems to be that *Bayt al-Muqaddas* is the sole gateway for anyone wishing to ascend beyond the heavens to the Divine Throne (*Arsh*). The fact that Allah rendered *Bayt al-Muqaddas*—a site revered as holy for ages—obsolete was something they could not accept. Consequently, they resorted to using such narrations to mislead Muslims.
13The Splitting of the Moon?
In everyday conversation at home, the words we use carry specific meanings. However, when the same words are used in a political context, they take on different connotations. For instance, when discussing a curry at home, we say it tastes good but lacks a bit of salt or spice (*kaaram*). Yet, when writing about legislative debates, we might describe them as "spicy" or "heated" (*kaara-saaramana*); in that context, the terms refer to the intensity and vigor of the debate rather than literal spiciness. Such usage adds strength and beauty to the language. Similarly, because the Quran is a universal message for humanity, it employs ordinary language when addressing family matters. However, when discussing politics or global affairs, it uses literary eloquence. A literal translation in such instances can lead to a distortion of meaning.
In our country, too, when a political party loses, we might say "the sun has set" for them, or when another loses, we might say "the leaf has fallen." We easily grasp the underlying meaning of these expressions. The matter of the moon splitting is similar. Consider the verse from the Quran:
ٱقۡتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلۡقَمَرُ١
54:1. The (Final) Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split.
If we interpret this verse literally, "the Hour" refers to the Day of Judgment (*Qiyamah*), implying that the moon has already split. Yet, while no one knows when the Day of Judgment will occur, the text states that the moon has already split. The statement contains an internal contradiction. Therefore, when interpreted from a political perspective, it conveys the following meaning:
Explanation: In accordance with the precautionay messages issued so far that the time for the outbreak of a revolution has drawn near. At that juncture, the imperial regime—which bears the moon as its national symbol—will fracture and disintegrate.
To elaborate: The Quraysh tribe once ruled over the city of Mecca, and the moon was the emblem on their national flag. This is the only plausible interpretation of the statement. The reason lies in the fact that life on Earth is sustained by the moon's gravitational pull; renowned scientists have discovered that if the distance between the Earth and the moon were to increase or decrease even slightly, life here could not survive. Given this reality, the splitting of the moon would be contrary to the natural laws established by Allah.
54:2. Yet, whenever they see a sign, they turn away from it and say, "This is merely an ongoing magic."
Did you notice? A warning regarding the impending great calamity comes to them, but they dismiss it as idle talk. It seems that even if the moon itself were split before their eyes, they would still label it as magic. Indeed, even such a display would yield no result. (See also 6:111). Therefore, the explanation we have provided is the appropriate one; for the verses 59:2-6 of the Quran describe the event where Reformist Muhammad Nabi (Sal) achieved victory over the city of Mecca without engaging in warfare. Do read them.
Dear intellectuals! These are the truths the Quran conveys regarding the event of the splitting of the moon. Reflect deeply upon this. Stories are being fabricated claiming that Reformist Muhammad Nabi split the moon. Moreover, it is alleged that no one in Arabia witnessed this splitting; supposedly, only a single individual from Kerala saw it. Could it be that the observer had impaired vision? It is clear that these are merely fabrications spread by certain reliegious clerics.
14Mountains will be reduced to dust?
As we have already mentioned, in a political context, we often refer to immensely wealthy individuals as "unshakable mountains." This is because, during the time of Reformist Muhammad Nabi (Sal), there were many who used their wealth to conspire against Islam. As Islamic governance becomes established, such accumulations of wealth will diminish, giving way to an egalitarian society. Let us see what the Holy Quran says about this.
20:105. (O Reformist!) They ask you about the mountains. Say, "My Rabbu will pulverize them into dust (and scatter them like sand)."
What is the benefit of pulverizing them in this manner? Will anyone come to believe (*Iman*) upon seeing that? Certainly not. Because no one will be alive. Therefore, we interpret this metaphorically as follows:
Explanation: They ask out of fear about the fate of those who have amassed wealth and power like massive mountains. Say that my Rabbu will level them all to the ground.
The word *Jibal* in this verse literally means "mountains." However, in a political context, it refers to those who have accumulated vast wealth—like mountains—and live in the arrogance that no one can shake their position. Furthermore, when considering the verses that follow, you will realize that the explanation we have provided is the most appropriate one.
20:106. “Then, He will level them out.
Explanation: Subsequently, inequalities will vanish, and an egalitarian system of governance will be established.
20:107. “You will not see any unevenness—neither highs nor lows—in it.”
Explanation: At that time, you will nowhere find the disparities, distinctions, or animosity that exist between the rich and the poor.
20:108. On that day, they will follow the caller (summoning via the Trumpet); there will be no deviation in it. All voices will be hushed in reverence for Ar-Rahman (The Most Merciful); you will hear nothing but a whisper.
Explanation: At that time, there will be calls to establish a social and governmental order free from such inequalities. People from all walks of life will follow that call; you will find no deviation or crookedness in it. All voices that once rose against the guidance of the Most Merciful will be silenced, and those who raised them will vanish without a trace.
20:109. On that Day, no intercession will avail except that of the one whom Ar-Rahman permits and whose speech He approves.
Explanation: At such a time, the intercession of no one—except those whom the Bestower of Grace has approved—will be of any avail.
These are matters pertaining to court proceedings during the era of Islamic rule. "Those approved by Ar-Rahman" refers to lawyers—"legal experts" designated by the Islamic government. Only they would argue on behalf of the accused if the latter were innocent. On the Day of Resurrection (Qiyamah)—which follows life after death—there won’t be any need for such legal experts, because Allah is the All-Knowing regarding all matters.
Dear intellectuals! As we have previously written, the word *Jibal* (mountains) also carries the dictionary meaning of "the wealthy." Consult dictionaries such as *Al-Qamus* and *Lisan al-Arab*. There is another reason for assigning this meaning. Several verses in the Holy Quran state that mountains were created like pegs to keep the earth stable and motionless (see 78:7). If these pegs were to be removed, the earth's gravitational balance would be disrupted, causing the planet to shatter into pieces; consequently, no life could survive here. However, the Quran speaks of the events that unfold subsequently. Therefore, the interpretation we have provided is the most appropriate one.
15Will the sun be folded up?
Dear intellectuals! During revelation of the Quran, the city of Mecca was under the imperial rule of the Quraysh, while the superpower nation of Iran was ruled by a tyrant known as Khusra. The emblem on the Quraysh flag was the moon (*Qamar*). During the very lifetime of Reformist Muhammad Nabi (sal), that moon was split, signaling the end of that regime (54:1). The national emblem of Iran was the Sun (*Shams*). This tyrannical rule was dismantled during the governance of Umar (RA) following the passing of Reformist Muhammad Nabi (Sal). This chapter discusses the establishment of democracy in that land and the subsequent renaissance that is destined to unfold.
It describes the changes that will occur when—in the future—power shifts from the prevailing arbitrary imperial rule into the hands of those who embrace the principles and doctrines of the Quran.
81:1. When the sun is wrapped up (deprived of its light) –
Explanation: When the Quranic system of governance is established, the imperial rule—which operates under the symbol of the sun—will be rolled up and set aside.
81:2. When the stars fall (losing their light) –
Explanation: The dominance of the smaller political entities operating under that regime will also begin to wane.
81:3. When the mountains are moved –
Explanation: The stability of the wealthy elite—who hoard riches and view themselves as immovable "mountains"—will begin to falter.
O thinkers! If one interprets the above mentioned Quranic verses literally, it appears to describe a colossal revolution erupting within the universe. With our current knowledge, however, it is impossible to predict exactly when or how this will come to pass. However, since the above mentioned revolutions took place in this very world, we have interpreted these verses metaphorically.
16Did Ababil birds saved the Kaaba?
Just as statecraft is crucial, so too are military tactics. Such strategies often yield better results than sheer military might; indeed, modern warfare operates on this very principle. This chapter addresses that very subject. According to historical notes, a commander named Abraha secretly plotted to completely demolish the Kaaba; he assembled a massive army—including a contingent of elephants—behind the mountain adjacent to the Kaaba. His scheme was to launch a surprise attack the following morning and destroy the structure. Yet, he met with a crushing defeat. Let us examine how this unfolded.
The ruling class, exercising autocratic power, often relies on its immense military might, believing itself to be unshakable. However...
105:1. (O Reformist!) Did you not see what your Rabbu did to the Companions of the Elephant?
Explanation: Did you not witness with your own eyes how your Rabbu transformed the state of the soldiers of the elephant army? Ask them about this.
105:2. Did He not bring their plot to naught?
Explanation: You saw for yourself how their secret conspiracies were thwarted in accordance with your Rabbu's decree, did you not?
Those soldiers of the elephant army had gathered secretly behind the mountain to launch a surprise attack.
105:3. And He sent against them birds in flocks.
Explanation: In accordance with the Divine decree, flocks of carnivorous birds flew over the location where the army was encamped. Thus, their secret plot was exposed.
Generally, during times of war or when animals are being hunted, such birds—instinctively sensing the availability of food—fly overhead in large flocks. Similarly, seeing flocks of birds flying in unusual numbers beyond the mountains, the people of Mecca could surmise that something significant was happening.
105:4-5. They pelted them with stones of baked clay. Thus, He rendered them like chewed straw.
Explanation: Subsequently, you ascended above the mountans and hurled stones down upon them. As the elephants in the formation were struck, they stampeded in panic; consequently, the soldiers stationed there were trampled and crushed by the elephants. In this manner, the flock of birds found a ready meal—akin to chewed, pulpy fodder.
Therefore, the strength of intellect is just as essential as military might. This chapter reveals that aerial attacks can inflict greater damage on the enemy and lead to their defeat more easily than ground assaults. Furthermore, permission to wage war is granted solely for the sake of upholding humanity and human rights (see 22:39); indeed, the law of Allah does not sanction warfare unless there is a compelling necessity.
Moreover, one must allow the opposing party sufficient time for self-correction and formally declare war before engaging in combat. Acts such as conspiring against others, sowing chaos in the world, slaughtering innocent people, or destroying places of worship have absolutely no place in Islam. (See 22:40) Given this reality, what was the need for the Ababil birds to engage in combat?
*Translations often claim that the birds themselves hurled stones from the sky. However, the word *tarmihim* refers to the second person—"you"—and does not denote the third person (i.e., the birds). Furthermore, regarding the baked stones that rained down from the sky upon the community of Reformist Looth Nabi, the phrase *amtarna alayha hijaratan min sijjeel* is used (see 11:82, 7:84), meaning "We rained down baked stones upon them." Therefore, the interpretation we have provided for *tharmeehim* is the appropriate one.
17Nineteen Angels as Guardians of Hell
The Quran speaks about the guardians of Hell in various places and from different perspectives. It describes in detail how these guardians will function in the life that follows death. Furthermore, in this world too, societies that act against divine guidance face many forms of suffering; in a sense, these, too, are torments akin to Hell—a subject the Quran also addresses. However, Chapter 74 specifically mentions that there are nineteen guardians of Hell. Thus, we have provided an explanation covering both categories: the suffering encountered in this world and the torment that follows death.
74:26. I will cast him into "Saqar" (Hell).
Explanation: The person who refused to accept divine guidance engaged in all manner of wrongful deeds; therefore, he will be subjected to severe torment.
74:27. And what will explain to you what "Saqar" is?
Explanation: Do you know what that torment entails?
74:28. It spares nothing and leaves nothing behind.
Explanation: It will utterly consume and incinerate everything—his accumulated wealth, his reputation, and his fame.
74:29. It will scorch and transform the very appearance of the human being.
Explanation: Consequently, his face will turn dark with humiliation. What was his state until yesterday? What is his state today? Everything will be transformed.
74:30. Over it are nineteen (appointed angels).
Explanation: In this manner, nineteen types of torment will afflict him. This is mentioned in several places in the Quran. And
74:31. And We have not made the guardians of Hell other than angels. And We made their number a test for the disbelievers - those who were given the Scripture, that they might be sure, and those who believed, that they might increase their faith, and that the believers might not doubt. However, We made this [number] only so that those in whose hearts there is a disease and the disbelievers might ask, “What did Allah intend by this example [of the number nineteen]?” Thus, Allah leaves astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows the hosts of your Rabbu except Him. [The message regarding Saqar] is nothing but a reminder to mankind.
1. All such forms of suffering experienced by humans in this world occur based on the principle of “consequences corresponding to human actions,” as ordained by Rabbu.
2. The natural forces of the universe have been created precisely to bring about such consequences.
3. It is those who do not respect the teachings of the Quran who create confusion regarding this number.
4. However, for the People of the Book, it serves as an opportunity to reflect on the consequences of their misdeeds and reform themselves;
5. And for the believers, it enables them to accept the punishments mentioned in this Scripture without doubt and to save themselves from them.
6. But those who are enslaved by evil habits,
7. And those who reject Rabbu, will speak negatively, questioning what Rabbu intends by this number. (See 2:26)
8. Thus, those who choose to go astray end up in error, in accordance with Rabbu's law.
9. Those who seek divine guidance and strive accordingly attain the right path.
10. Therefore, regarding the forces that cause dire consequences, the truth is known to none other than your Rabbu... No one knows.
11. The Quran addresses this subject. Its very purpose is for humanity to gain a deep understanding of these matters and follow the righteous path.
In the present era, suffering affects both individuals and society as a whole. Consider, for instance, the ailments that afflict people at a young age due to prevailing harmful habits in society. The list is extensive, ranging from life-threatening illnesses, heart disease, and cancer to rheumatic disorders and sexually transmitted diseases. As a part of the cosmic creation, humans are influenced by the same natural forces that operate within them; consequently, one's physical health suffers due to wrongful actions. While some ailments are promptly treated, others persist as chronic conditions, causing prolonged torment. It is essential to study these matters and strive to protect oneself from them. Diseases that strike in old age often lead to death—a process associated with the natural forces of Death (*Malak-ul-Maut*). (See 32:11)
Secondly, societies across the world experience cycles of rise and fall. When a society declines due to its own wrongful actions, the suffering endured by the ruling class and the wealthy is beyond description; the severity of such anguish is immense.
Thirdly, the world witnesses distressing calamities such as earthquakes, tsunamis, storms, floods, volcanic eruptions, and famines. If humanity takes measures to safeguard itself against these events, life will flourish. If one remains preoccupied merely with calculating and tallying the tribulations of *Saqar* (a form of severe torment), one will never find relief from life's problems. Divine guidance, therefore, paves the way for deliverance and a better life amidst such grave perils.
Fourthly, since human life continues even after death, one receives either Paradise or Hell based on the deeds performed in this world. It is ordained that Paradise is the destination if good deeds prevail, and Hell if evil deeds prevail (see 7:8-9). This is Rabbu's immutable law. It is also indicated that there are nineteen categories of guardians in Hell.
18A living creature emerging from the earth?
27:82. When the decree (of punishment) draws near them, We shall bring forth for them a creature from the earth; it will speak to them, declaring that mankind did not have firm faith in Our signs.
Explanation: When injustice and tyranny run rampant in the world, a hero or a collective group (Jama'at) will emerge to counter them. This group will support the oppressed and take action against the ruling government. The group will explain to the people the dire situation arising from the government's actions, which run contrary to Rabbu's guidance.
The word *Dhābbathan* appears in this verse; it means a "living creature." Humans are also included in the category of living creatures. (See 6:38, 11:5, 22:18) When an injustice occurs anywhere, we often remark in casual conversation, "Won't there be someone to stand up and challenge this?" It is for this reason that we have interpreted the word *dhaabathan* in this verse as "a mighty warrior" or "a *Jama'at* (organized group)." Furthermore,
At times, such unjust nations fall victim to attacks by foreigners. Losing the strength to withstand such assaults, the nation faces defeat. Consequently, that society is forced into subjugation. This is a reality that has played out throughout history.
27:83. (O Reformist! Remind them of) the Day when We shall gather a contingent—comprising those who denied Our signs—from every community (separating them from the rest).
Explanation: In accordance with this unchanging law of Rabbu, forces of reform and defense inevitably emerge to confront any community that rejects divine guidance. At times, these forces evolve into multinational coalitions, manifesting as world wars. One faction struggles to suppress the dominance of another.
19Al Quran about miracles?
29:50. They ask, "Why have no signs been sent down to him from his Lord?" Say (O Reformist!), "All signs rest with Allah; for I am merely a plain warner."
Explanation: Some people persist in asking why no miracles were sent down to the Messenger from his Rabbu. They also ask why Allah does not come and speak to us directly. (See 2:119) Yet, they fail to notice the miracles found in Allah's countless creations that lie right before their eyes.
Therefore, it is not my task to perform the sleight-of-hand magic tricks they expect. Instead, tell them that I have come to warn of the dire consequences resulting from wrongful actions.
Indeed, the world created by Allah allows for the performance of magic and sleight-of-hand tricks—which can be considered an art form. However, for the spectators, these offer only momentary amusement. In contrast, Divine guidance shows the path to a life of both temporary and eternal happiness for all of humanity. Reformists came to convey this guidance, not to perform magic tricks.
20Conclusion
Dear intellectuals! The Quran presents historical truths regarding the Reformists, originating from Allah. However, translators have often turned these accounts into fanciful epics, effectively rendering the Quran *Mahjoora* (abandoned or disregarded in its true sense). Therefore, in our exposition of the Quran, we have presented all historical facts based on a rational approach. Furthermore, we have documented details regarding the birth, death, and prophesied return of Reformist Easa Nabi in our book titled *The Biography of Reformist Easa*; we encourage you to read it to gain a full understanding.
We also wish to highlight a crucial point: all the Reformists who came to this world were reformers who strove to eradicate the social ills of their times and build an exemplary society guided by Divine principles. They were not magicians who sought to propagate the faith through sorcery or illusions.
Dear friends! Observe the creations of the world; you will realize that each one is a marvel. Consider the solar system—scientists studying the nine celestial bodies (planets), their orbiting satellites, and their respective functions are left awestruck, finding them to be wonders beyond words.(Ref 67:3&4) But alas! Our Guidance scholars transform these historical truths into mere epics, thereby stifling the people's capacity for rational thought.
